His elbow ached from leaning on it, but not enough to give up the comfort of his chin rested in his palm. The way his head was turned really didn't make reading the textbook any easier, but the paragraphs seemed determined to be jittery and restless anyway, and Yugi gadot fight the urge to twitch and wiggle his leg along with the text.

He blinked, hard, and sighed. Again.

"Hey, Seto?" Yugi asked softly as he turned his head to look at his study partner. "Question 37 has to be a trick question, right?"

Eyes refocused on the exam print out. "On what side of meandering river - with high sinuosity - should a settlement be build? That depends, doesn't it? Like, how advanced their tech is and stuff. But that option doesn't exist."

Another groan. "I hate multiple choice."

The water stopped running and there was the sound of a stirring spoon being placed down. Spirit looked up as Ryou entered his space by the window, carrying the savory smell of their next meal. He watched as Ryou looked down and opened the window to grab what he had been looking at.

Not exactly what he was asking about but it was his next question. He eyed the pink petals Ryou held. Soft and some slightly bruised. "Cherry blossoms?" His brow furrowed, the word felt familiar on his tongue. It felt familiar. He knew what a flower was, and cherries were...red?

He reached out and picked one out of his hand. It had a slight mixture of waxiness and softness. "A spring fruit for picnics?" He quipped, and proceeded to bring the flower to his mouth for a taste. "The dust is a type of sugar then?"

OOC: Hmm having male characters only ever be allowed to be either manly macho men or baby boys. I... realize, as always, people exist that fit those extreme ends of the scale, and that's amazing! But it hurts when there's characters who exist in between and it gets completely glossed over or even denied. Men can be vulnerable and emotional while being tough as nails, men can be angry and bitter and reckless while also being compassionate and sweet.

Please stop erasing parts of people. It's boring, not to mention hurtful.
