„Stop smiling at me like that.“ (Vincent to Break~)
🍭" Haha! Now why would I break my wonderful daydream of you getting swallowed up by the fire briars at your request?" Break chuckled with a near glassy eyed look from the palms of his hands. It was such nice imagined little scenario~ before he was rudely interrupted.
Always. ALWAYS. ALWAYS. CHECK.
He's not wrong. When hiking or working in the woods always check. Because if you bound forward, jump in, slide in, or absentmindedly wander in, you'll either be screaming from poison ivy or you'll be ensnared by thorns, big ones are painful but nothing is like the microscopic thorns of some plants. Embed into your skin so you'll be suffering through the pain until your skin finally sheds or worse drag yourself to the clinic and they either start digging or tell you to go home. My students thought I was crazy until one yoinked another's hoodie before they ran into a knee high poison ivy patch with shorts.
Also always check bushes before you cut. Getting chased by bees is not fun.
Snow, there are two ways one can feel.
1. Childlike wonder and excitement.
2. Dread because you have to shovel and trudge through it to get to work and not die on the way.
Here me out. A brimmed cap witch who hides their tattoos beneath non silverwood ink stained and rough working fingers. What is tattooed or engraved into their fingers is not a full glyph but only the curled edges of circles. Effectively a push to play effect .
The same can be said for their work gloves, a lick activates the ink.
If they have a weapon they could play it like a flute. A myriad of different unfinished glyphs on a staff. rapid succession of spells as they drum their fingers along.
"The laws do not forbid glyphs on clothes and contraptions. The pact forbids glyphs tattooed onto the body, but there are no laws saying a witch cannot exist with ink, calluses or cuts on their fingers. In fact such a state is praised! The finger and the nail are rudimentary writing utensils. All that is left is to design a glyph that can be completed with a simple press or scratch. 💕"
