Maram has told me that she visited a dentist recently after already severe dental damage worsened and was told she needs dental surgery. Maram needs to get a dental bridge and replacement molars so she can eat and speak normally again. However, the treatment cost is $1000, which is beyond her means to afford.

Dental issues often worsen in the absence of treatment. Jawbone will atrophy in the absence of teeth.

Lol i went back to the dentist today bc i finished the steroid pack and was still not feeling like it was healing. Good news, tooth is fine and no infection and didn’t have to pay for my visit. Stupid news, “man that is really aggravated back there, it’s acting like you had a (tooth) extraction!” Thanks dude, I know. I can feel it lmao. So anyways I have this surgical topical gel stuff now and a hope and a prayer that it will help the injection site and the nerve in my jaw calm the fuck down.

I'VE HAD SOME REALLY BAD DEVELOPMENTS.

I've recently discovered I may have a dental abscess in my mouth, which I urgently need to take care of. Along with that, I have a lot of other dental work that I seriously need to take care of and can no longer ignore.

I can, simply, not afford to do this on my own. I need urgent help to deal with my dental health and I'm terrified because I hate the dentist but I am officially out of options.

I have moderate support needs autism and other disabilities. Normally, when I need dental work, I need IV sedation. However, I was in too much pain from a broken tooth to wait for it, so we tried an extraction without it today. It took lorazepam, Nitris, more than the max allowed amount of Novacaine, and a compassionate dentist who gave me lots of breaks, but I got through it! Proud of myself!

Whumpee being rescued from months in captivity and needing some pretty extensive dental care on account of... not exactly having had access to toothpaste.

Only problem is, they hate being physically handled. Especially having fingers or tools near their mouth.

They're more afraid of being fully anesthetized than of braving the dentist, but oral anesthetic only goes so far. Caretaker sitting beside them and holding their hand the entire time, rubbing the back of their palm to ground them.

Occasionally Caretaker will turn to the dentist and say, "They're not numb enough," which is always true, even when Whumpee themself didn't notice. Caretaker is just that keyed in to their comfort levels and pain.
