25: what fic do you wish you got more of a response on?
this one's tough because like...i used to focus on this a lot and it took me years to actually be okay with my stuff not getting much response. after i published osa, i needed to get over it because it was killing me inside seeing my ao3 stats with tens of thousands of kudos while my book sales were like...around 100, tops. so i guess i wish people would give more love to my oc works in general!
42: what’s the last fic you read? do you recommend it?
......don't know off the top of my head, but if my ao3 history page is to be trusted, it's what the roots wrought by @magiwou-meowvin which YES i would absolutely recommend (just mind the warnings in the tags of course), it's just the right amount of creepy and heart-wrenching. ironically the fic is in a way the estranged sister fic to my palletshipping hanahaki au, because that was what got us talking about how we wish people would explore the darker side of hanahaki as a like...a way to coerce someone into loving you. they took that idea and ran with it. it's amazing.
46: how would you describe your style? (character/emotion/action-driven, etc)
definitely emotion-driven. i love writing introspective pieces and i really like to put characters in positions where they're forced to contend with feelings they don't want to deal with, or even really know how to deal with. even in my original fiction, i think about the trajectories of my characters in terms of like...okay, how have the things that have happened affected them? how will that affect what happens next? etc.
