Thief of hearts; master Burglar
Unknown Photographer. Elijah Wood. 2006/01.
C'mon Frodo, a little more respect for Bilbo's dating choices
Okay but, listen: Samwise came back to confront Gollum. There is no way he expected to see an enormous Lovecraftian nightmare of a spider instead. BUT HE DOES. NOT. FLINCH. We cannot love him enough for this.
oh Frodo…
Okay guys
Guys I just realized something
I’m reading Return of the King, and have just reached the chapter called “The Tower of Cirith Ungol,” in which Sam makes to rescue his master.
Something notable about this is that Sam has put on the Ring not once, but twice so far - and both times, his experience has been markedly different than Frodo’s.
Firstly, his vision is impaired. Everything he sees is somewhat obscured by a dark fog. It’s unclear whether this is an effect of the Ring entering Mordor, or if that’s just what it does to him specifically; after all, the Ring acts differently for each Wearer.
It’s the second effect that’s really interesting. You see, for some reason, the Ring improves his hearing. In both instances, he can hear orc-chatter from afar, as well as tumbling rocks and the foaming of Shelob. But what’s really wild about this is that the same never happens to Frodo.
Because the Ring reflects the Will and Strengths of the User, I can only assume this means one thing.
The One Ring empowers Samwise Gamgee’s eavesdropping.
saying “i want him” about the character but not in a romantic or sexual way . i just Require him i need to Obtain him
i want this man in my inventory
bilbo baggins is the bratty diva of middle-earth and i can just imagine thranduil like the evil queen staring into some scrying pool or whatever positively seething because he isn't middle-earths brattiest old man anymore.
hey sexy. I can tell by the frequency of your blog updates that you are once again avoiding it all
Chai tea bag + lil but of brown sugar + apple cider packet + 16 oz. mug of hot but not quite boiling water

Update: this is the best post I've ever made because everyone is sharing their Warm Beverage recipes in the notes. Go check the notes for more Warm Beverages That Will Fix You.
another set of ms paint valentines, rock based this time
No, but imagine Thorin giving ALL OF THESE to Bilbo. And he just sits there, giggling like a child. And Bilbo is just -horrified-
We all thought Thorin’s humor would be dark, sarcastic, maybe even morbid.
No.
He just. loves. puns.
Bilbo’s married life is the dawning realization that Thorin is the biggest dweeb in existence under his stoic demeanor. Thorin is wandering the house muttering “granite” under his breath and giggling.
Bilbo thought Thorin was cool. He has never been so wrong in all his life.
*thumbs up* you know how it is
hello friends :) I don’t know who needs to hear this, but when you edit a comment on a fic in ao3, the author gets an email every time with a full copy.
read that again: every single time.
so, if you leave something mean/rude in the comment and then edit it out, authors will still have an email/copy of the first comment.
If you’re going to type something you might regret, do your editing before you click “submit”!
Just to reiterate: authors are totally fine with you editing your comment! It happens all the time. The other night I got (literally) 38 edits in the span of ten minutes, and I just smiled and marked the emails as read.
Don’t feel self conscious about leaving a comment and then editing it. We all do it!
