This is how I described it: "The singer says you should stop playing video games because she wants to beat you up with her bare hands".

I'd say the actual meaning is probably better described as, I'm not kidding, "Go touch grass" however that will leave out the fact that she does indeed challenge the "you" in the song to an IRL fight.

So "corpo a corpo" is surprisingly difficult to translate. In this sense she is challenging the "you" to an IRL fight. I've seen some translations to wrestling or grappling but what it's meant to convey here is that she's basically saying "You wanna go? You wanna fucking go???? I'm gonna kick your pathetic ass"

The amount of Deolinda song where Ana, the singer, threatens physical violence on somebody is way more than you'd expect and she absolutely gives a very intimidating presence. I never thought of it that much before but she's one of the only people I know capable of making you believe only by singing that if she got her hands on you she'd rip you to pieces.

The song Fado Toninho is my favourite instance of this where you get the impression that you're not sure if she really wants to fuck the guy or do the equivalent of this:

(If you translate directly the last part doesn't say I'm the moment but she's basically using a bunch of expression that convay that she's the boss around these parts)

The literal last sentence of the song is "Se não me seguram dou cabo de ti" which means "If nobody holds me I'm gonna destroy you".

And she vocalises it so perfectly. The way she sings "Eu mando!" (I'm the one in command) it more of a "EU MANDO!!!" as she puts so much emphasis on it. She is the essence of these emojis 😊🥰😘💪🤬💀🚑. She IS the girlboss.

🎧 - Deolinda - Bom Partido (2016) ✨

Deolinda satiriza a busca pelo “bom partido” num tema hilariante do álbum *Outras Histórias*.

Dez anos depois do seu lançamento, a canção “Bom Partido”, dos Deolinda, continua a fazer rir gerações com a sua sátira afiada sobre as expectativas irreais no amor e a tradição portuguesa de recorrer aos santos para resolver problemas do coração.

Incluída no álbum *Outras Histórias*, editado em fevereiro de 2016, o tema, o 13.º do álbum, foi composto por Pedro da Silva Martins, letrista habitual do grupo. Com a voz inconfundível de Ana Bacalhau, a música segue o estilo característico dos Deolinda: um neo-fado acústico, leve e irreverente, que mistura tradição popular com comentário social e humor fino.

A letra conta a história de uma mulher que, desesperada por encontrar o parceiro ideal, pede ajuda a vários santos. Começa por invocar Santo António, padroeiro dos casamentos, pedindo um amor “belo, rico, casa, carro e olhos / olhos apenas para mim”. Como o pedido foi feito “baixinho”, o santo “ouviu mal” e trouxe um homem “míope e magrinho / sem carta nem enxoval”.

Insatisfeita, a protagonista recorre então a Santa Bárbara, pedindo um raio que transforme o indivíduo num homem “sábio, culto, divino”. O resultado? O raio cai mal e ele fica “a falar fininho”. A canção continua com pedidos a Santo Expedito e Santa Paciência, numa escalada de desilusões cómicas que culmina na ironia final: por mais que se peça, o “bom partido” perfeito parece sempre escapar.

Com esta narrativa, Deolinda faz uma crítica divertida à idealização romântica, às listas intermináveis de requisitos para um parceiro e à tendência cultural portuguesa de misturar fé popular com soluções milagrosas para assuntos amorosos. É uma sátira leve, mas eficaz, sobre as desilusões reais que surgem quando as expectativas são demasiado altas.

Formado em 2006 em Lisboa por Ana Bacalhau, os irmãos Pedro e Luís José Martins e José Pedro Leitão, o quarteto tornou-se um dos fenómenos da música portuguesa da década de 2010. Misturando fado tradicional com influências folk e pop acústica, os Deolinda conquistaram o público com letras inteligentes e melodias cativantes. *Outras Histórias* foi o quarto álbum de estúdio do grupo, sucedendo a discos de sucesso como *Canção ao Lado* (2008) e *Dois Selos e Um Carimbo* (2010).
