His impact is so powerful that religious movements have incorporated his presence into their doctrines. Nonetheless, there is only one Garvey with one mission. I say unknown in the sense that I believe the general public doesn’t know about this great black artist. This is my interpretation of her. THE REDEMPTION GONG - As a child, I grew up listening to this man. He was in all my relatives and parents house, as well as whenever I was somewhere with a Caribbean feel. He was one of the few musicians to touch the core of who I am, mainly because of his message. His nickname was Gong, and his songs were very redemptive and filled with connection. His work reminds that I should still keep messages within my art and music.
