DePatie-Freleng cartoon, THE BLUE RACER (1972-74). Does anyone remember this? I remember watching it as a kid in the 1980s and thinking, “Aha, so that’s how they’re going to follow up on The Pink Panther huh—a blue snake. Interesting…” Not realizing it was already 17 years old.

Actually—did you ever watch an old show or film as a kid, believing it was new?

El Tigre Nahuel is a character in the Mo Pa Sa La Pantera Rosa (Pink Panther) comics of Argentina. Nahuel the Tiger is a friend and partner in crime of/to the Pink Panther. The character is most likely the creation of cartoonist Ricardo Violini. "Nahuel" is a word of Mapuche origin and one of its meanings is "tiger" , so we would be in the presence of the "Tiger Tiger", an undercover joke of its creator.
