"Tomorrow can't be a Noon day."
Some background.
I have totally fucked up my sleep schedule and usually haven't been able to fall asleep until 3 or 4 in the morning and then don't wake up until around 12:30pm/1pm the next day.
So I told her, "Don't let me sleep that late. I thought someone was going to yell or bang or put me to work around 10ish so I didn't sleep that late."
My mother's response? "Your father and I were out in the backyard working and the saw was going off. If you can sleep through that noise you can sleep through anything."
First off- I worked in the Scene Shop a lot this past semester. You tend to become immune to the sound once you've worked around them for several months. Plus, one going doesn't really compare to 4 industrial sized saws all going at once.
Secondly- You didn't even try to wake me up. So how could you know? Oh, that's right. You don't.
And I know some of you bastards are thinking that I'm old enough where I don't need my mother to wake me up. Well, I don't have a job right now, I have absolute 0 motivation to get out of bed, and if you actually knew me you would know that it takes an entire Brass Band to get me back onto a normal sleep cycle.
It takes a lot more than just a little will power to get me out of bed right now.
Have I mentioned yet that I just love being home?
