that fucking case.
hospital trying to discharge person (who is clearly dying) because of an insurance issue, person has no family left to help/just one acquaintance who's involved, hospital staff are just being complete assholes to the acquaintance and nobody actually knows how any of this shit works except me apparently, so i'm left to try to solve the issue and i have a solution but it's not immediate so it may not even fucking work. they may literally discharge this person to their house, where there's a solid chance the person will just die.
feels like finding a baby bird you know is going to die but keeping it warm and feeding it anyway because you have a duty to do it. it's the right thing to do. will it mean anything if the bird dies? maybe not. but you still have a duty to do it.
i dont know how you avoid losing pieces of yourself when you just watch people get chewed up constantly by a terrible, indifferent machine and there is very little you can do to stop it. especially when no one wants to slow down the gears. what the fuck
