Storms Don't Last Forever
Storms Don’t Last Forever
A few weeks ago much of the UK was battered by Storm Doris. High winds and torrential rain affected many areas of the country. One Thursday after arriving home from a morning out cut short because of the inclement weather; I watched the rain beating against the glass of my bedroom window, observing the dark grey clouds while I lay down on my bed battling the effects of chronic pain ravaging…

Very little steps
Some days I feel like I hit rock bottom, in those days I don’t want to move, I don’t want to think, I just want to sleep all day and forget about the pain. But I know that that’s when I need to do something for me the most. Usually my room is a mess, but today I picked up all the clothes on the floor and I took all the dishes away. This things may seem really easy but with depression, picking a sock up from the floor is an accomplishment. So shotout to me for doing this little things that mean a lot! And shotout to you! for being alive even when the pain makes you feel like dying. Just know that there are better days to come and that there are lots of beautiful things that you haven’t experienced yet.

That feeling of failure in my stomach, lack of strength in my muscles, and this chain pierced through my soul is always around. You feel a sense of burdening yourself. As if your very soul weighs a ton. Optimism is as intangible as God even wasting the tip of his finger on this world. But I manage to grab the tiniest atom of hope. To keep me from swimming in the abyss of depression.
