               body   rounds   the   corner,   and   stops   short   at   the   sight   before   her.      she’d   heard   the   sounds   of   a   struggle   from   the   outside,   and   had   quickly   made   her   way   into   the   building   to   see   what   was   going   on,   and   lend   a   hand   if   need   be.      apparently   it   wasn’t   needed   though,   as   shane   stands   over   the   body   of   a   stranger,   blood   coating   his   hands.      brows   knit   together,   and   she   approaches   carefully,   a   gentle   hand   coming   to   rest   on   his   arm.      she   needs   to   be   careful,   not   because   she’s   afraid   he’ll   hurt   her,   but   because   he   was   still   very   likely   in   fight   or   flight   mode.      she   needs   to   bring   him   back   down,   back   to   reality   where   it’s   safe   and   the   threat   is   no   longer   present.

               ❝   you   good?   ❞      it’s   the   first   question   she   asks.      she   cares   more   about   his   well   being   than   an   explanation   on   the   situation.      there   was   time   for   that   after,   right   now   carol   needs   to   be   sure   he   came   out   of   the   altercation   unscathed.

    Morgan had been out by himself for a while now. People had come and gone, either by physically removing themselves from the area or by dying. They had tried to take Morgan with them, convincing him about other potential communities and settlements, but... He had said no. So for now he was alone, and he figured he would be alright for a while longer. 

    With a bow in hand, he sat quietly up on a platform he had built himself, a couple of meters up between the trees. While he had food to last him a year, he needed to be careful. Besides, fresh meat tasted better than any of the freeze dried and canned foods. He waited for anything alive to pass by, preferably a deer. 

   What came walking through the woods was no deer, though. Morgan eyed the man in silence, noted that he was alone, and found it safe enough to speak up and make himself known. “Hey ye! Aye, ye down there. Ye alone, eh?” he called out, the Scottish accent obvious. Morgan straightened himself a bit, crawled closer to the edge. He held up both hands, the bow still in one. “Am friendly if ye are. Ye leuk like shite, pal.”

        of all the people to find in this bullshit world, shane walsh was not one of them she expected to ever see again. especially with how the last little “meeting” at home went. sure, shane was a great person that seemed to know how to handle himself, it just didn’t seem like finding him again was extremely unlikely.

With a tired sigh fingers raked through messy ginger strands, the sound of boots scraping across gravel filling the silence as the man turned in place, walking backwards as to keep eye contact with the other as he spoke. ‘ 𝘊'𝘮𝘰𝘯.
