for the people who really liked the mysterious science part of Project Hail Mary and who realllyyy liked finding out how all of it worked and how fucked everything was and connecting all the scientific dots etc etc etc you will really like reading 'The Swarm' (der schwarm) by Frank Schätzing. it's not space but ocean, and there are fucked up marine things happening all over the world simultaneously without people knowing what's going on, and then slowly the dots get connected. it's one big ass book but a big recommend of mine

Watching the adaptation of Frank Schätzing's The Swarm and all I can think about is:

@ everybody that watched The Swarm / der Schwarm by ZDF, Hulu Japan and others:

Do you think, it's too german? I was talking with my family about it. The cast is super international and has the Game of Thrones Showrunner but, apparently, it feels like the typical "made by zdf" illness (long and neverending explainations. Almost no Action. Bad dialogue). (Based on the first three episodes)

Is this a common thought about it or is it just us?

What is the opinion about it from people living outside of the german speaking countries? Is it good? What do you guys think about the writting?
