So for Christmas my fam is hooking me up with whatever skate setup I want, within their budget. 😂 I’m excited but at the same time overwhelmed bc of all the amazing possibilities. Ugh. I just wanna get the perfect skates.. But how do I decide??? 😱

So the fam is throwing a bday party at our local rink and its gonna be on disco night, hooray! I wanna dress disco-ey but like real disco-ey, not like a halloween costume. Any suggestions, ref pics, help? ?

CIRCLE TIME: A few minutes before practice ends all of the skater sit ina circle and voice any compliments & complaints. Works very well with encouraging even the less spoken skaters to speak up.
Got my Sisu mouthgaurd!♥ I ordered off ebay and It came earlier than expected, yay. The molding process was pretty easy but I have weird teeth so it took awhile. The plastic package it came in doubles as a case for it too, which im pretty happy about. Havent practiced with it in yet but ill let you know how it goes. So far I give it a 9.5/10
UPDATE: I officially give Sisu a 11/10. This thing is super slim and feels like a retainer with a tight breathable fit. Usually during laps I choke up bc my old mouthguard was thick and I couldnt breathe but with Sisu I feel like theres nothing in my mouth. Haha. Def recommend for any sport that requires a mouthguard!

So a few practices ago I fell and bruised up my knee pretty bad. It ached and whenever I move it I feel ripping pains.. I thought after a few days I could push through the pain but I ended up falling again which bruised it more and kept me out of practice for a bit. So now it still aches to bend and like the skin on ny knee is just numb and any tiny fall makes my knee spaz out and shakey, to where I cant walk. I just want my knee pads bc im getting so discouraged with this. But ik I wanna keep doing derby.
This was a drafted post I forgot about, haha. UPDATE: frozen water bottles and icey hot saved my knees and padded knee pads keep em safe rn!
