I’m still at an absolute loss for words for the passing of legend & inspiration @derekho1980 . I’ve been out there studying, admiring & trading waves with this ultra smooth, hard charging Hawaiian for over 30 years now at the Banzai Pipeline. I’m so gonna miss his smile, his stoke for surfing Pipe & jeez.... I’m just gonna miss his absolute school kid stoke for surfing in general. So talented beyond measure. Usually I would be out surfing Pipe with Derek, just waiting my turn, but I’m so thankful I took my camera out a couple of winters ago and snagged this classic pass by of Derek Ho. Editing these photos were hard for me because I feel he left us too soon.
