Well, well.

What a surprise ( pleasant, at that ) to find his long time friend a mere shuffle and perch just atop what certain pile of paperwork needing signed and returned immediately, no less. Hope certainly was true to it’s name, was it not? How terrible and wrongfully unrequited it would be of him to maintain focus on the severity of the task at hand rather than welcoming Hikaru-kun back into his sanctum a second time. Why, he wouldn’t want to make him uninvited despite such a sudden ( and wholly unprompted ) appearance maintaining the chill of an air that paraded about as anything but expected.

Ah, supposing he does set what remains of today’s duties aside; what then?

Little more than the fold of hands and the simplicity of a smile wreathed in a silence perpetual as the shine of fool’s gold only until broken of course. He maintained some semblance of decency at the very least.

It was also due to whatever lingered of her ( fake ) previous self that she'd grown a bit concerned for the other. If someone is going to stumble about that much, should they really be out and about ? Or at least have someone with them ?
