I wanna talk about this for a second. I know I’ve been posting a lot of pictures of me with full eye make up lately, but I wanted to acknowledge the fact that I’ve had a hard time dealing with my body image for the past few years now. Getting back to my emo roots has really helped that. I have a very specific type of OCD, which makes me go at my face a lot in self-destructive ways. So it’s rare that I will ever see myself as someone people want to spend time with, because I’m not conventionally attractive.
My skin isn’t totally clear here, as I’ve been having a stressful time lately, but this is what finally making it through to the other side looks like. And if going full panda with my eye makeup is what’s going to give me enough confidence to stop hurting myself, at least for now, I’m gonna do it.

The Derma Struggle #1
Family/friend: But your skin looks fine. You're just exaggerating
Me: *wearing 15 layers of make-up and concealer, a turtleneck, an oversized sweatshirt w/ hood up, largest glasses I own, bandaids on fingers, and bangs expertly covering my forehead*
Me: If you say so...
Sometimes, if I've just started messing with my face
I know I could still stop and go outside and find something to distract myself, but my face is all freshly blotchy, so I stay inside, where I'll inevitably be drawn back to the mirror...
Anyone else love getting sunburned?? I just like when it heals and you can peel your skin 😅
