excuse you, that’s MY emotional support skin picking disorder (the emotion it supports is shame and anger and hate)
if you have trichotillomania I love you and I am kissing your bald spots
bfrbs feel so out of body. it’s like you're detached watching your hands destroy yourself until some subconscious part of your brain decides it’s satisfied. and u can never really avoid the triggers it is literally your own skin
They should invent a new kind of body that doesn’t make scabs and the bits of dead skin so peelable
me when the satisfaction of picking my skin wears off and now my fingers just hurt (this is an unforeseen turn of events)
whenever someone w dermatillomania is told "just stop picking/biting at your skin!!" they immediately get 100 moneys. from said person who made the comment. no i dont make the rules god themself told me this was true
I’ve been out for almost a decade and my mother still makes comments about my underarm hair, she attributes the sweat from my anxiety to how much hair is there and is constantly telling me “if you want to keep hair there you have to keep it clean” even telling me that I should start pulling out my armpit hair when she saw my trichotillomania happening, I’m gonna start transitioning as soon as the planned parenthood near my new home says that I can and she’s not going to be allowed to see any of it
This is transandrophobia, saneism, and parental abuse.
Fucking hell. It's absolutely disgusting to weaponize someone's BFRBs (body focused repetitive behaviors) to try and reinforce sexist beauty standards. I am horrified that I hear so many stories about people's BFRBs being glorified for that purpose.
Me: I’m gonna try going to sleep a lil earlier tonight, I’m feeling pretty sleepy anyway
The nefarious 2 hour skin-picking session:
