I’ve tried peeling lotion! Here’s what I think
Hey ladies. So recently, I did a whole body peeling and I used a peeling lotion from Derm Secrets (you can check it out on instagram or shopee) Again, this is not a sponsored post because I do not have any sponsors, okay? Haha.
I came across this product in an instagram advertisement where it shows someone’s legs while on the peeling process as a result of using this peeling lotion from Derm Secrets. I was kind of hooked and was curious so I went on their page and saw a lot more photos of people’s legs and arms that are peeling dramatically. Like, super. So, I bought it from Shopee that same night that I saw their page. Yes, I’m impulsive like that. Haha
This is the peeling lotion. It actually comes in a set with a lotion slash sunblock and a soap.
The lotion slash sunblock is SPF 100 . That’s major, right? Then there’s the soap that smells really sweet, lathers smoothly and is soft on the skin. I quite love it.
So, the package is gonna come with a set of instructions, like a whole bond paper full of text, but to summarize you just need to lather the whole bottle of peeling lotion on to your body. Yes, you got that right. You need to consume the whole bottle of peeling lotion in just one night. In my case, I had a really hard time, it was really tiring for me (haha) so I did not follow the instruction which says finish the whole bottle in one night. I applied on to my body half of the bottle on the first night, and the other half on the second night. I guess it was okay cos the peeling hasn’t started yet on the second night.
I applied the peeling lotion March 16 and then the peeling started March 18. My hands started peeling first. And it was drastic! Like, it was so obvious which makes sense cos this product is really supposed to give you macro peeling effect.
March 18
March 20
The peeling on my legs looked like this.
I did not edit (even a tiny bit) nor use any filter on those photos because I want you to see the real deal.
The peeling process will be for 5 to 7 days. And it’s gonna itch SO BAD, I’m telling you. It was hard to sleep during the peeling process and it was hard to avoid peeling the skin off by myself. But I did try my best because I don’t wanna mess it up.
So, this is the before (left) and after (right). These were taken in the same room with same lighting and at the same time. Both were taken 8:30 in the evening. I would say there is not much of a difference with the skin tone. Not so much to make it obvious on the photos. BUT, in actual, you could really see the difference. It’s brighter and whiter, even. My skin became glowing and I could really say that it did it’s job to remove my dead skin. Please note that the very purpose of this product is to remove dead skin not to whiten. I guess the whitening effect is just cos the dead skin were removed. Do you get my point? Haha
All in all, I love it and I will definitely use it again in the future. Not very soon, though. (I don’t wanna overuse it)
Note, before I end this post, please remember the following:
Do not use any lotion while on peeling process
When taking a bath please use a really mild soap like Dove
Yeah, I know you would ask, you are supposed to use the Ultiwhite Lotion and the Power Peel Soap AFTER the peeling process NOT DURING.
Do not use any body scrub during the peeling process.
Do not use this product on your face.
Okay, love? :)
By the way, the whole set costs 1250. Hihi
