Whilst he was finishing the final touches of his newest painting his eyes had turned to see the traveler shivering in place, honestly he had forgotten just how much the cold of Dragonspine did not affect him as it would regular people. They’ve been out here long enough, it was time to head back towards his camp where he’d made sure visitors would receive optimum heat against the blistering cold. To be honest, the source of heat had been implemented mainly for Klee should she choose to visit him within the valley on her own whenever she went on one of her own little adventures. 

Little did he know that it would come in handy for others. “Alright.” He spoke out as his paint set had vanished with a wave of his hand, the materials simply dematerialized. “It’s about time we make our way back to camp, you’ve indulged in my work for far too long already.” The alchemist gives her a smile and leads the trek towards his camp, after setting the stools near the fire Albedo would then wrap an arm around her frame, keeping her close and hoping that he would also deliver as much body heat as she needed to survive the cold.

“I’ve kept you out for far too long, how selfish of me. It’s no secret whenever my mind becomes engrossed with what I’m painting that it’s as if I’m in a different reality. I only hope you could forgive me for such a thing, would you also care of a bowl of hot soup?”

Getting to the resistance’s camp was easier said than done. In the middle of the night, he had been snuck out of Inazuma city to go join up with the traveler to help her. Several times he had to stop to hide from the samurai that were after him. But eventually Thoma finally makes it. 

He’s soaked from the rain, exhausted from sleeping in caves or not at all, and starving because his supplies had been stolen at some point earlier that day. 

Really, the man was just not having a good time.

He had to check several times that his vision was still there and that he wasn’t about to fall over with no ambition left in him to do anything. Paranoia wasn’t something he normally dealt with, but after something like that? Plus, he was also worried about Ayaka, who he had been forced to leave behind to head here.

But now here he was, standing in front of the camp with the resistance soldiers being wary about allowing him in due to his connections. He tries to explain that he was the one that almost had his vision confiscated, but they don’t seem to believe him.

“I didn’t walk here with little supplies or sleep just to get turned away. At least let me speak with General Gorou or Lumine...”

You've shown a certain fondness for an Outlander. What will you do if she perishes due to the actions of the Fatui?

If she perishes then it's because I have failed in protecting her and I died before her. To my last breath, I will fight and protect her to the best of my abilities. Even if I die in battle, I will have fulfilled my part of the contract with her.

          a   voice   like   a   whisper,   and   the   harsh   look   in   his   eyes   completely   faded.   the   grip   on   the   sword   loosened   just   slightly   before   tightening   again.  

          “   …   how   are   you   ?   “   a   simple   question.   one   that   one   may   find   strange   to   ask   in   this   situation,   though   the   way   he   glances   across   her   makes   it   evident   that   he’s   worried   that   she   had   been   injured   in   the   previous   tussle   that   had   occurred   before   he   had   stepped   in   when   he   received   a   distress   signal   from   a   nearby   abyss   mage.

Today was such a great day, Inazuma was all the more brighter and it was thanks to the young woman before him. He was happy that she agreed to meet him here at a sushi restaurant. The moment she stopped before him Kazuha bows, a gesture within this land to display a great amount of gratitude. Not only has his homeland been saved but he is now a free man, and also free of the burden that kept his heart below water. “I cannot thank you enough, Lumine. You’ve done so much for me and so much for my home. I can never repay you for all you’ve given me.”
