It was Derrière and Monspeet who went to check, not seeing the need to have everyone crowd the tunnel and they weren’t exactly sure what that noise was yet, only that they heard a lot of yelling and then felt a somewhat familiar, if weaker than they’re used to, energy signature. They’re all a little groggy and don’t immediately recognize it as Meliodas’ magic. When Derrière comes across the the two laying prone in the stairs her scream if “HOLY SHIT, MELIODAS!!!” definitely caught their attention though. They waited with bated breathe as first Derrière came out of the tunnel car try big the bruised and crying pig, and then Monspeet came shortly behind her with Meliodas cradled in his arms, completely filthy and bloody and his leg is broken as well as a dislocated shoulder and who knows how many bruises. Monspeet, known for not being one to show emotions, had an extremely worried frown as he wrapped his cape around the smaller demon as a sort of makeshift blanket.
The commandments are quick to get Meliodas in their nest immediately, and asked how the hell this happened. Derriere is quick to explain the broken stair as he presumably tried to escape. The commandments are quick to decide that they need to get him into their nest immediately, and go there. They all curl around Meliodas, who is growling lowly, but not really snapping at them as he used to when he first arrived. He's in too much pain to really argue or fight back at the moment.
