Who would’ve thought he would be back in the same place after all? The last time he was standing in Oceanside, he was covered in blood and he had a foggy memory of what he had truly done. Over his time in prison, pieces came back slowly but surely. But nobody had to know that. And he wasn’t going to let people know the truth. Ivan wasn’t a stranger to Oceanside having grown up in Harbor Beach from a young age. He was still the corporate accountant most remembered. He was known for rebellious attitude, always dancing with the devil. He was there for a good time, not a long time but now he was back after serving his time rightfully so and all he wanted was a goddamn drink. However, his strides came to a halt when he heard footsteps behind him and turned around to see who could possibly be so close to him. It felt like they were practically breathing on to him. His time away made him more suspicious than ever and he had been a mere few days experiencing freedom again. But, the news in Oceanside kept him on the weary side. He would be damned if someone took his life away again. The tall figure turned around, looking down at them, tilting his head in confusion. “Anything I can help you with today?” The blond sarcastically asked.

When: Saturday sometime close to midnight

Sybil’s night had started off so promising. She found the heels she had lost for a few weeks now that made her legs look amazing, the uber was so near it didn’t take time to get to her, and she had found someone, if she were honest with herself, who was drop dead sexy to dance and make out with. But then it had all turned so sour. They caught sight of someone while she left for a moment to use the restroom and left her. So much for a distraction to take home tonight. Right now, she was slowly finishing her drink as she leaned against the bar. The little swivel stick straw was slowly moving around the glass as she pushed it absentmindedly with her mouth. Probably should order an uber and head to another place to try her luck or head home. It was only then that a commotion started beside her, two men who towered over her shoving each other. She was sure a punch was thrown too. But one staggered back and the drink in her hand dropped and spilled all over her. A curse fell from her lips as she stumbled backwards and into someone else.

It was the morning after the party at the beach and Rosalia was enjoying a well deserved coffee before heading off to work for the day. Her phone had been buzzing all morning but she’d been ignoring it in favor of the much better morning she’d had. Finally she picked up the overly noisy device and checked her notifications. The first thing that stood out was a twitter notification about a stabbing at the beach. “Well that’s one way to end a party.” She laughed, not realizing anybody was in earshot. She couldn’t help but wonder who it was who’d been stabbed, surely if it was somebody she knew she would have heard already.

atlas spent the first few minutes of the night wondering around, watching everybody. he was trying to decide who was the best person to bid on and if any of the choices would ruffle a few feathers. never the shy type, atlas walked up to the nearest person and stood next to them. “so are you going up for auction tonight? i personally think you’ll be doing the world a great disservice if you say no.”

   The last time Rocco was hospitalised must have been a good five years ago, after having had his appendix taken out. It was that very stay that had urged him to dismiss any dreams of furthering his studies in the medical field, and thus, resigning to his career as a Biology professor. Something about hospitals had put him off completely from pursuing such dreams to have an MD at the end of his name, and had successfully put him off in any desire to be in such setting.

   Hooked up to an IV, he supposed he ought to be thankful that he wasn’t called for his time just yet. But between the flitting states of his consciousness, passing in and out from time to time, the Scordato male no longer fought the fatigue that overtook him. There was no point to it, not when his system had suffered greatly.

   But between the moments of lucidity, he had seen faces worriedly looking to him, checking up on him. He had heard the quiet sobbing, the hushed conversations that had taken place. So long as he was hearing them, feeling them, and seeing them, he could only hope that he would be alright.

   Aware of the presence in his room, Rocco stirred from his sleep, unmoving. “I’m still alive right?” murmured the weakened male.

if there was one thing hayes loved in the world it was a sunrise and luckily his work often meant that he caught one at the end of his shift. he was sat on a bench at the pier, just relaxing and watching the world. as he often was, he was in his own head thinking about how big the world was and how small he was in comparison. he was thinking about travelling some more and about how he wanted to see all of the beauty the world had to offer some day, when a voice jolted him from his thoughts. “huh? oh hi erm... were you talking to me? sorry, i was day dreaming.” he spun around to look at the person and gestured to the beach. “did you want to sit?”

For a week, he barely saw anything, somehow finding himself spiralling into a somewhat hermits existence. It wasn’t that he was feeling any sort of feeling other than a general tiredness. Tired of seeing people, that seemed to have been set off by Valentine’s Day, and for almost a week, he kept to himself. It wasn’t uncommon for the youngest Volkov to go through moments of isolation, but the call from Isaak to go and check on the club was enough for him to realise that it had gone on too long.

With a drink in hand, he found himself perched atop the private balcony that looked down on the patrons. He could see a few familiar faces, regular patrons, dancers, singers, and bartenders, and though the night was only starting, he knew that it looked promising. Lighting up a cigarette, he could hear footsteps coming up behind him, and about to turn to tell them to fuck off, that it was a private area, the words were replaced by a smirk that became a wide grin. “What are you doing up here?”

   “Did you hear what that guy said?” gossiped the woman, perky and enticing in her tone as she approached them, nary a second to wast as she promptly gushed, despite the lack of an obvious prompting. “He was acting all high and mighty -- total douchey, mind you, and he just wouldn’t stop!” The irritation in her voice was undeniable, adding life to her little shared tale. “But the next thing you know, his card gets declined!” 

   A satisfied sigh of relief left painted lips, dark browns sparkling in gleeful delight at the outcome. “Serves him right.” she said, sidling up to the other. “Karma’s a bitch, and I love her.”
