the problem with pausing the Desert-verse for this long is that... now the next chapter or installment or whatever has to be perfect! amazing! there’s actual people looking forward to this! (there were people, at least. maybe that’s not even an issue anymore and I’m pressuring myself over nothing! that would be pretty nice actually...)

The Lost Castle

It's like the spectrum

of the event horizon

cross the red shift

of my heart.

It's a descent,

like no other;

one where my blood -

pounds at the ventricles,

and where all of my fibers

come to stop

at the sight of you.

It's in my dreams,

the cradle and seams;

it's a comfort to know

my eyes set on you

are familiar atoms

covalent bonds

of all of me,

particles-apart from you,

is all I needed

to finish my next breath.

Photons break into a million neutrinos,

they envelope my Earth

and my soul,

you're the princess

in my lost castle,

I search for you in eons -

epochal tidal drifts

upon my weathered skin,

just to ask for your kin

with nothing to lose,

but everything to gain.

I'll draw a thousand and one memories,

fall to my sleep

in the afterlife,

make an apocalypse of it all

just to lay eyes

on you again -

and again.

Ablaze

It was forwarded

in the light of day,

from eons and epochs

to seconds and milli's -

that it was drawn

and written in stone.

What binds our veins

together and in every weather;

the afterimage of these -

blinding lightenings,

race past me

like the flashback

of a war hero.

looking for this perfection

in me; that I find in you,

the passion in your pupils

and the faith in your hands.

My paws

lost in the sand,

I'd take pride

in the tracks I left.

Let the music of the wind

carry me for another eternity.

But I'd rather sink -

in the silk

of your braids.

Every grain pours

out of the pores

of my hands,

out of my sorest

out of water; it's driest.

In her absence,

it's incomplete.

With her touch

my cells -

they deplete.

I go bust,

when the aces

line up just right.

It's just a 'bad luck' thing I suppose.

And no wildcards...

just a burnt cigarette hole

in a stack of cash,

a hot bullet casing

and a stolen art rack

all for my lovers and landlords.

A spasm-like gust,

it unwinds as it gives way,

throttle is my freedom

as I make love to it,

Thruxton in the backroads

dust in my trails,

foggy Ray-Bans and missed calls

is all I have left against my bank clause.

And, when it hits just right

the curvature of your hip

bending the space and time

dimensions in my hand...

I find the rythm every chance I get;

it's like a fusion of Buena Vista, Cohiba

and a bottle of Santiago de Cuba -

just to remember my Dog Days once again.

Under this moonlight,

I marvel in disdain,

ubiquitous thoughts,

pour on me,

like torrential rain.

War curves,

into spacial dimensions

of your sprawl,

lioness crawl,

into the dense fog -

condensing upon every brawl,

twitching of your muscle draw.

Gun, snap, bang - it's all raw.

Your talent is raw,

your beauty is awe...

you're the remedy

of my tension -

even under

your rear naked claw...

Evasive tranquility

in the naked universe

knows no flaw,

in creating you.

Mojave

Jupiter is caressing,

with every star it's missing -

with every turn - it's a blessing,

the rill, delta and the shore are kissing.

Moonlight on your eyes,

I wish I'd paint the mojave -

and all of its fireflies,

embellish the canvas under volare -

and the entirety of the Sierra,

while tracing the stretch marks;

on the side of your thighs.
