A few plucks at the strings of her odd appearing lute, before the short-haired woman's melodic voice filled the silent air, "In your eyes I have beheld the mother.~ In your eyes my own have crossed the sea.~ A tide of thought of you forming to heaven, in that blessed place where your eyes gaze on me.~" The opening verse was accompanied by a coy smile, and a careful lean forwards, cautious not to lean too far into personal space. A fist in the face is only an arm's length away, after all.
Kahina appeared to be surprised for a moment, not expecting the woman’s song- was she serenading her? She couldn’t help but wonder what in the world she got these lyrics from…but at the same time, they were pretty catchy. Cupping her chin, she grinned at her, wondering how she should follow this up.
Carefully, cautiously, she sang back, “Am I dreaming you? Or are you dreaming me? Could I be dreaming you? Could I be the fool, for you are all I see?”
She had no lute, but she was hoping to follow along the beat, and she simply smiled at the woman, as if she were asking for a challenge.
