I’m pacing back and forth on what to do with all this bullshit that Blizzard is handing me.

Like, I want my Sylv to be as close to in-game Sylv as possible, but I also want my Sylv to show why she does what she does. While Blizz does do this, they only do it in outside sources like the books, and even then it’s left to player discretion as to why Sylv does what she does.

Sylv vs Saurfang is meant to be an evenly weighted “Pragmatism vs. Honor” schism within the Horde, but that’s not happening. We’re only ever getting one side of the story. We’re only ever getting Saurfang upholding his shitty version of honor that makes no sense and an extremely evil for no reason Sylvanas.

I don’t mind an evil Sylvanas, I want Sylvanas to be That Bitch, but I don’t want Blizzard to keep writing her into a state of “80% of the playerbase will want her dead by the end of the expac” which is what they’re doing.

Saurfang: Attacking Malfurian from behind was dishonorable... I must redeem myself for doing such an act...

Also Saurfang: *Orders rogues to attack locations within Ashenvale, leaving it up to the player’s discretion to kill civilians, but still using subtlety/”dishonorable” tactics to kill outpost guards, lead a diversion tactic so the Kal’dorei would send troops to defend Silithus instead of protecting Darkshore, later used pincer maneuvers/hidden movements to then attack Kal’dorei outposts from all sides*
