I'm sculpting busts of the entire Recombinant squad and sticking their heads on DesignDoll bodies. >:3 So far: Prager, Quaritch, Mansk (with and w/o shades) and Wainfleet. Next up, Zhang and Zdog.

Some touchups on the designs posted last year.

I keep going back and forth about the Luminary's outfit. I want it to show the passage of time, changed and refitted, but I think his original design is already pretty dope and I don't really want to change it too much. I'll find a balance eventually, but it's slow going.

While I've decided to keep the waders, I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out, but I like it! Happy with the color scheme so far, too!

Ended up using DesignDoll to set up the poses this time around. If the anatomy is slightly better than usual, that's probably why :'D

So I am working on finishing my Lith Carries Her S/O series while also working on the mini-comic. I decided last night to whip up the 3D models for the last three, Narancia, Rohan, and Bruno.

It had...interesting results....

Nara and Lith are just plain adorable. Bonus points that Lith makes him feel tall, given that he's more than half a foot (about 15 cm) taller than her.

Rohan made the mistake of saying he didn't think she could actually dead lift him. He was wrong.

And then...then there's Bruno...

Now, I am partially to blame because I was running out of normal ways to carry someone, but let's face it, Bruno isn't exactly...normal. The moment I saw this pose, it took me back to his little pole dance moment and the rest is history.

Here is gijinka Piccolo from Super Paper Mario. 🎶 Used a different shading/coloring method for this.

Inspired from my love of classical music (mostly baroque).

Fun fact: I did Piccolo before.

In your headcanon, how tall is Murdoc?

WELL THANK YOU FOR ASKING, THIS IS GONNA BE AN ANNOYINGLY LONG POST :

I checked the few group pics where they stand almost standing straight, and almost at the same scale, to see how the size comparison match up :

according to the Wiki, 2D is 1m88, noodle is 1m57 (idk if its when she’s adult or not tho, i couldn’t find infos abt that???) and Russel is 1m75.

^^^ on this they aren’t on the same line so i don’t know how much i can do an estimation

now, it is very inconsistent in the canon because Murdoc seem to get randomly shorter and taller depending on the drawings

like on this illustration for their collab with a brand of shoes :

it look like they inverted their sizes, and murd seem edited too big, he feels out of place. (or maybe its just me???)

on this more recent pic he has pretty much the same height as on the first pic,  wich is his head ariving around 2D’s eyebrows height

so their size difference is really not THAT extreme

BUT now if we look at the song machine MVs,

He seem to be even shorter than noodle,(but again i’m not sure about her size so-) - and 2D could easily put his chin on the top of Murdoc’s head.

so he aither get shorter with time because he’s old, or the artists dont have a proper reference sheet but maybe it’s on purpose, what do i know-

i made the band in DesignDoll, (respectevly, Phase 3 noodle, 2D, Murdoc, Russel and phase 5/6 Noodle),  i mostly used phase 1 to 3 artworks as reference for them, but as shown in the Song machine pic, their size stayed pretty much the same (except noodle, ofc)

IN CONCLUSION,

to me, MURDOC IS 1m77

wich isn’t that short, but still shorter than 2D, and i think that’s important-
