Silent Amantes

So one of my jobs at school is working at the front desk in one of the dorms. Sitting at the desk, I get to see all kinds of interactions between people. Especially couples. There's this one couple in particular who always meet in the dorm lobby. The girl comes to the lobby from another dorm and waits for the boy to come down from his room. They meet and go off to get bagels from the cafe or to who knows where else. But whats interesting about these two, is that when the boy comes down to meet the girl, neither of them say anything. No "hey!" or "thanks for waiting" or "hows it going". They just smile at each other. Whenever I see the boy on campus, he's always wearing this expressionless face but when he sees her, his face lights up with this lazy half smile. And the same for the girl. She just gets this starry eyed look on her face when she sees him. I think it's just lovely how they never say anything to each other and just smile. It's as if that smile holds all the words they don't speak.
