Matte eyeshadow works for me, although I use a really light hand bc my foundation is heavy as is and I'm afraid of looking silly.

if you can find a bronzer without sparklies, that tends to work. a light brownish eyeshadow will also do the trick as long as it matches your undertones. for highlight i literally just use white eyeshadow. i find that for some face shapes, though, contouring just doesn't have that BAM effect- like for me, it only makes me look less dead and sliiiightly less flat-nosed/fat-faced

basically anything. like you can use eyeshadow if you have a suitable colour or blushes are good, nyx has a blush called taupe that I use and it's super cheap
ok, so basically anything matte and pigmented and in the right color family????? COOL. Thanks guys!
(it's like super unusual that I'd ever actually do it b/c I barely even wear foundation day-to-day, it feels gross to me and it takes a lot of prep to make my skin look better but not unnatural than without it, weirdly? I don't have great skin or anything so IDGI. But I do want to practice contouring. We learned how at a Sephora class thing I did and it looked pretty cool and it was fun, but I don't remember ANY of the products we used, nor could I afford them anyway.)
