Meghan Steals Fits From Kate’s Kids for Her New Online Shop
HIGHEST FORM OF FLATTERY?
Meghan is marketing the heck out of a bunch of brands that royal fans already associate with the Princess of Wales.

Meghan Markle has made the unlikely decision to promote a series of clothing brands associated with her arch-rival, Kate Middleton, on her new internet shopping page.
Given that Meghan’s kids have only been rarely photographed, the general public has had little idea of the prevailing Sussex child aesthetic—until now.
And intriguingly, Meghan’s “Easter Edit,” which she uploaded to her ShopMy page Monday, notably features classics from brands generally associated with Kate Middleton’s kids, George, Charlotte and Louis.
There is—for example—a floral rabbit dress from U.K. brand Trotters, which has long been a go-to for the Cambridges. Princess Charlotte wore a similar dress in a different color from the brand in photographs sent out by Kate to mark her fourth birthday (the dress subsequently sold out in record time).
Another famously royal-adjacent British brand, Boden, is also featured in Meghan’s new edit; a cute baby dress with a blue, pink and yellow shell motif is among her choices. Boden has made no secret of its attachment to the Windsors, releasing a “Very British Baby” collection in 2018, to mark the birth of Prince Louis. Princess Charlotte wore a Boden sweater in her eighth birthday photos, which were taken by Kate.
Meghan’s collection also references another iconic young royal moment with a pair of checked pajamas in pale blue from American brand Petite Plume. Who could forget the swagger of Prince George wearing the same Petite Plume PJ’s for an after-his-bedtime meeting with President Obama at Kensington Palace in 2016?
Meghan’s selection does also include plenty of merchandise not seen in a Middleton family photo shoot, including a Peter Rabbit Easter egg hunt kit, passion fruit-flavored candy carrots, and “bunny baby” booties.

The Duchess of Sussex has been trying – and, depending on your point of view, failing – to hit the mark on a sartorial offering for some time now. But her latest venture might just be her most successful, at least in terms of emulating royal taste.
“The Easter Edit”, which has just dropped on Meghan Markle’s Instagram shop, features a selection of homeware, various gifts and, most notably, childrenswear. The latter is presumably inspired by the wardrobes of Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3, the children Markle shares with Prince Harry.
This follows the launch of Markle’s ShopMy platform last month – a “hand-picked and curated collection” of products from which she earns commission when followers purchase.

When you consider the overall mood of the edit – classic, pastel-toned traditionalism – it seems that the family has taken a leaf out of the Cambridge children’s style playbook. And if you consider the brands featured, things become increasingly royal-adjacent.
Of immediate interest to royal style fans is a floral and rabbit motif dress from Trotters, which has long been a favourite of the Cambridges, with Princess Charlotte memorably wearing a similar dress from the brand on her fourth birthday. The Liberty-print style she wore sold out overnight, and Meghan’s choice might well go the same way given that it’s currently reduced to £54 from £72.

Another royal favourite featured is Boden – specifically a cotton baby’s dress, £27, featuring shells arranged in rainbow patterns. The Prince and Princess of Wales are known to be fans of this British brand, which even released a “Very British Baby” collection in 2018, inspired by the birth of Prince Louis. Princess Charlotte has also been pictured in Boden, donning a jumper by the brand for her eight birthday photograph.
Gathered Woven Dress, £27, Boden
As well as dresses, the collection also features two pairs of gingham pyjamas – one in pale blue and one in pale pink – £44, from American brand Petite Plume. The blue pair appear to be the exact style Prince George famously wore to meet President Obama in Kensington Palace in 2016 (he wore them with a dressing gown from the same brand).

Markle’s original edit focused on her own fashion choices, with clothing and accessories from a high-low cross-section of brands, including a Uniqlo trench coat and Saint Laurent sandals. Judging by the fact that these items remained in stock after being featured, it feels fair to say that the venture failed to hit the mark.
Only time – and the spending power of Markle’s followers – will tell if this Cambridge-inspired selection is more successful. Given that, at the time of writing, the Boden dress is marked up as “Selling like hotcakes” on the UK website, it might well be.

Official Synopsis:
All of Eugenia Snowe’s problems start when Edward Reeve, an arrogant bastard son of an earl, bursts into her registry office. He wants a governess and he wants her. She gives him the governess he demands, but she refuses to give herself.
No question that Eugenia enjoys crossing wits with the brilliant inventor, but she will never tarnish her reputation with an affaire, particularly with a man who doesn’t realize she’s a lady!
She holds her ground…until he kidnaps her.
Ward will stop at nothing to convince Eugenia that they’re meant to be together. He promises her heaven.
She gives him seven minutes.
I love reading about the offspring of characters we watched falling in love. It’s fun, it gives us a glimpse into the lives of characters after Happily Ever After and it gives us a brand new adventure set in a world that we already enjoy. Eugenia and Ward are characters we met as children in Eloisa James’ Desperate Duchess series and it was a happy thing to see who they became and how the HAE of their parents (and step-parents) worked in their favor.
Seven Minutes in Heaven is a lot of fun, because it gives us the Tonnish world from two characters who are in and out of polite society. Eugenia is lady who has decided to take up an occupation and Ward is the illegitimate son of an Earl who is too rich and handsome to be thrown away in the way that high society usually treats bastards.
I love when characters in historical romance thumb their nose at high society and live their lives in the way they choose, and with these two characters Eloisa James gives us that in spades. I found the supporting characters to be so much fun. Unfortunately, Ward is a snob. It’s hard to ignore it. I get it, i do. I get how a man who was a bastard and mistreated for most of his life would feel he needs a high society lady. But, his notions of what he feels he needs to be happy stands in the way of his true happiness and I found his stupidity and stubbornness to be annoying.
I didn’t like that he had such classist ideals and it ruined the book for me. To be honest almost everything about Ward ruined this book for me. He was too damn used to getting his own way. The audacity of the fact that he basically kidnaps Eugenia for his own personal wishes was fo freaking annoying and the fact that she so easily allows it to happen also disappointed me. Ward was an amazing big brother to his new siblings which his only saving grace. If not for the kids and wanting to know how that situation unraveled itself, I would have quit the book. Which never happens with Eloisa James who is one of my favorites, but this old school hero does not work for me in 2017.
Meghan locked in negotiations for new Netflix deal with £73mn five-year contract set to expire
26 Jul 2025 By CHARLOTTE GRIFFITHS EDITOR AT LARGE FOR THE MAIL ON SUNDAY
The Duchess of Sussex is locked in negotiations for a second contract with Netflix. The streaming giant has decided to draw up a new deal with Meghan after the Sussexes’ £73 million five-year contract comes to an end in September.
Reports last week claimed that Netflix were going to drop the couple, having decided that the arrangement with them had ‘run its course’. But the Mail on Sunday can reveal that the second series of With Love, Meghan will be the first show to air under the renewed agreement and it is due for release this autumn.
Last night, sources close to the streaming giant said: ‘Make no mistake – a deal is being worked through as we speak.’
While the finer details remain a closely guarded secret, it is expected that the duchess is unlikely to secure the same financial deal she did previously when the couple first walked away from their role as senior Royals.
It is also not thought that Harry, whose vanity project, Polo, about the sport, was watched by just 500,000 people and rated at only 3,436th in the Netflix charts, will form a major part of the new contract as he is increasingly focused on his charity work.
Meanwhile, interest in former actress Meghan, who starred in legal drama series Suits, which remains one of the streaming service’s top shows, continues to be higher.
With Love, Meghan pulled in 5.3 million views in the first half of this year even though critics described it as ‘bland’ and ‘forgettable’.
The source added: ‘If you’re in the top third of Netflix, you’re getting another deal.’
It is understood that Meghan’s new series was filmed at the same time as series one was recorded last year. She also has a collection of products called As Ever.
Another source said: ‘What happens at the end of the contract is that people renegotiate. But when doing any kind of commercial negotiation, both sides are not allowed to talk about it.
'Netflix is a listed company so they can’t say anything or confirm officially yet that a new deal is happening, but that deal is not dead. Netflix are an equity partner in As Ever, so they were unlikely to drop Meghan. ‘It serves them to promote her and her lifestyle brand via the With Love, Meghan show. It would be like punching yourself in the face not to sign a new deal.’
The streaming giant is set to open two vast retail and entertainment ‘hubs’, called Netflix Houses, later this year, with locations in mega malls in Pennsylvania and Texas. The venues will feature immersive experiences tied to Netflix shows, themed restaurants and branded merchandise – including products such as As Ever jam and tea, which are made by a factory contracted to Netflix, which makes similar products for their aristocracy drama series Bridgerton.
The source added: ‘People point to “Polo was a flop”, but it’s worth remembering that Harry & Meghan was the biggest documentary on Netflix ever in 2022. That alone could have afforded them 50 flops – and it still would have been worth it for Netflix.
‘With Love, Meghan has been worth it too. It’s done really well, especially in America which is the only place that matters.’
