Destati!
"This is no time to sleep, we've got to save everyone!"
While listening to the KH 3 soundtrack, I noticed something.
The first “Destati” we hear in 3 is subtitled “Third Inception” and I suppose that makes sense, right? This is the third game, hence the third inception or start for Sora. (Then again, in 2, we never see Sora at his station in the same way that he’s there in KH 1 and KH 3, i.e., the very start of the game).
However, what caught me real off guard is the title of the “Destati” we hear towards the end when Sora is chasing the Lich
“Third Revival”? Revival indicates that Sora has been revived three times. In 3, we see him get revived twice: (1) when he first gets swallowed by the Demon Tide and ends up in the Final World, and (2) when he leaves the Final Word, one again survives the Demon Tide, and chases after the Lich.
What is this “third” revival? Is this just talking about the revivals in 3?
If it is referring to Sora’s revivals in general, that could explain it. We can say Sora’s first revival occurred in KH 1, after Kairi saves him from being a heartless. That would complete the three revivals if added it to the two in KH 3.
That could explain it, but something feels a bit off. When Sora is revived by Kairi in 1, we never hear Destati or see his station or anything like that. So maybe that revival doesn’t count as to what this Destati is referring to? Is it saying that Sora was revived 3 times in KH 3 and not 2?
This concept of being revived 3 times also fits with the general theme of “3″ that KH 3 does have (take a shot everytime I say 3). It’s the third game in the series, “Don’t Think Twice” talks about getting kissed three times. Actually, could you think of each revival as a “kiss” the way “Don’t Think Twice” talks about it? When we did see other revivals in KH 3, i.e., Rapunzel saving Eugene and Elsa saving Anna, they were focused on the concept of true love, which can tie in with a kiss. Even the song that plays when Anna is revived is called “True Love”.
Anyways, I have a hunch the three revivals this song title is referring to has to be revivals that occurred as part of KH 3′s events. Moreover, what are these three “Inceptions”? Are they just referring to the start of each main line game or something more? We know that two timelines merged in 3, but is there a third we are not privy to? If there is another timeline, does this explain the whole “Third Revival” business?
As soon as I found out Destati means “wake up” I felt compelled to do this
I don't think we talk enough of Joe's exclamation "Santa Maria madre di Dio" at the beginning of the movie.
Because
Santa Maria madre di Dio
Santa Maria madre di Dio
Santa Maria madre di Dio
Looking forward to Melody of Memories? Seems it's already inspiring a few musical arrangements, such as this tribute from KH13's Kinode!

ATTENTION: KINGDOM HEARTS 3 SPOILER AHEAD (kinda) These are the next four pages of my KH3 end rewriting comic. Yeah, it will eventually be a SoRiku fanfic. But I had to give Kairi a more fitting death, and Sora some time to grieve. Kairi definitely deserved better than that. We all deserved something better than some lazy writing. And I could go on and on about misogynistic plots and badly constructed female characters, specially in Japanese media, but I want to sleep at some point in my life.
