Come talk about your special interest!
Are you an Autistic person, someone with ADHD, OCD, or an otherwise nuerodivirgent person who has special interests or hyperfixations? Do you like talking about them? Do you not usually talk about them but want to try to? Have you talked about them in the past only to have people ignore you or tell you you’re being annoying? THEN DO I HAVE THE PODCAST FOR YOU!
After a long time planning, I am about to launch my new podcast Hyperfix, in which I have people come on and tell me all about their special interests! So many people with special interests are shamed into silence by allistic and nuerotypical people, and made to feel bad for talking about the things they love so enthusiastically, and I think that’s extremely shitty. I have OCD and ADHD, and have special interests myself, but I want to give people a platform to talk about their special interests with as much gusto as they want, and to start to break down the stigma surrounding these things. People with special interests have such an amazing resource of information and enthusiasm on whatever it is they love, and that should be celebrated.
