Destroyer - Destroyer's Rubies I thought I had already done this record but I have only mentioned it in my Destroyer mega-post. This is my favourite Destroyer album making it one of my favourites of all time. I once read an article that described Dan Bejar as the "exiled king of rock" and I think that is not only apt but especially apt on this album. He really sounds like some guy who was too much of a threat to someone like Buddy Holly so was stuck playing bars with old pianos. I included some of my favourite lyrics in this post (featuring all of the lyrics to Watercolours into the Ocean).
