The first few days after transferring to a new base were always the most stressful, especially for people who were unable to properly connect with others and form relationships with their teammates.
Damn it Aithne, get it together!
It was the first break from battle since they'd arrived and they didn't exactly want to spend it hovering in the peripherals of unfamiliar and hostile people they were expected to cooperate with. Instead they had taken to exploring their new territory, checking out every little nook and cranny that caught their attention. Without the heat of battle or of teammates breathing down their neck they could finally process things properly, even finding a nice little secluded area where they could slip off their mask and... ACHOO!
Oh. They forgot sometimes how much their mask helped to filter out dust. They shrugged and smacked their lips for a moment, shaking off the sneeze before letting their tongue slip out between their lips to taste the air. So many new smells! They could smell the sulphur of explosions and hot metal tang from the earlier hours, new birds that honestly smelled absolutely delicious with even tastier eggs, and... They froze. New smell. Familiar but unfamiliar. They knew it but not who it belonged to. Even though they should have been wary they let out a squeal of excitement, oblivious to their proximity to the BLU base. The idea of another non human just had they too riled up!
