“How desperate would you have to be to ask me to babysit, huh?” He knows he’s beig an ass, since any time spent with his lovely niece is time more than well spent, but he wouldn’t be himself if he didn’t give Danny some crap.
“I don’t need your stinking ten bucks, but you’d better bring some good sweets, none of that crappy stuff you get around the corner!”
“Is that… blood?”
Kono frowned as she looked at her teammate. In the midst of the raid everything had moved quickly and she found herself face to face with a sleazy drug dealer.
Despite the man’s scruffy appearance he gave as good as he got and when he began to wield a knife Kono did her best to take the perp down with a smooth roundkick.
But now as she glanced at her side she noticed the crimson red seeping into the fabric of her jeans. She stumbled, the adrenaline beginning to fade away, replaced by the white hot pain that raced up her leg. Her vision began to blur, barely able to make out Danny’s face as she reached for him and her world went black.
