Grimacing, Ava shakes her head. She isn't quite sure when she became the one to ask for something witty to say, but she wasn't about to open her mouth and say something stupid in the meantime. Not talking at all didn't feel like much of an option either, so after a few moments, she speaks, "I usually go straight for insults, those aren't witty. They're just... Rude."

"Oh, um, I was just- Huh?" Ava had been about to continue on speaking, with her thoughts, but the addition of beautiful caught her completely off guard. Her face turns a bright shade of orange, looking away from Jacklyn. "I, um... It was nothing..."

Immediately, Ava's face turns several shades brighter than it had been prior. She's never been good at receiving compliments, and it is even harder for her to do so now. Turning her face away from Jack, she then starts to run her hands through her hair to try and distract herself.

"It's- That's-" Her nose scrunches up, unsure if she wants to go with her gut and not respond at all, or try to say something. "...I wouldn't say that, necessarily..."

One of the few things that were a positive to being a walking heater was that when the weather got cold, she was of a greater help to people than she was in the summer. That being said, it still startled her when someone moves up to be next to her and the temperature spikes almost immediately.

"What- Oh! Are you cold?" Obviously, but it would still make Ava feel better to ask. After a moment, she does shrug off her coat to drape over the other's shoulders. "That should be better."

"I'm not sure who or what either of those are, if 'm being honest, but uh... My hair doesn't get spikey, that I can answer for certain." Out of habit, she starts to run her hands through her hair. "I also just... Don't cut my hair very often? If that's a question about how long it is... I like my hair being long."

Ava blinks, staring at the other, unsure of how to respond. By in large, that wasn't the strangest thing she thinks she's heard, but it's still catching her a little off guard. "...Yeah, and...?" She tries to prompt, figuring that the only way she'll fully understand what the other is going for is if they keep going. "Isn't that like... The point?"

He is almost certain that he is not. Ava would have brought it up if he was, that girl rarely slept and she was perhaps more observant than she should be on occasion. Well, that and Ava would have never let Odin live it down if he did something stupid, she rarely lets him live anything down in general.

"I'm n-not," With a shake of his head, he shoots a tired look over towards the other. "I pr-probably w-w-was awake, but just l-l-looked like h-hell." The mornings were especially hard for him, so that would have made sense to happen.

Jack hasn't really given Ava much of a chance to respond here, to quickly interject and say she has, that she's pretty familiar with a variety of pastries and desserts. She nods every once in a while, trying to keep up with the mile-a-minute nature of the rambling. The guitar addition doesn't really help, as now she just thinks that this has less become a conversation and more of a one-sided brainstorming session.

After what feels to Ava like several minutes of careful consideration and waiting - though she's distantly aware it's likely shorter - she starts to speak.

"Bland muffins aren't that bad..." She mumbles, fingers wringing together. "I, um, I dunno how well cold stuff would do inside a muffin though, they are probably better on somethin' like a waffle." It of course depended on the type of waffle as well, she'd think, but at this point Ava's lost track of what she's trying to respond to.
