Does the AOTD reveal that the boys aren't gods mess with the Dethkomic storyline at all? I hope it hasn't thrown you too far off! I'm loving this story and I'd hate to see it messed up because of that! 😭

No uhhhh... if anything, it enhanced the direction I was already taking things. XD

Rest assured, Charles was not the only one who became studious in the clues pointing to how the Metalocalypse would go down. I too, did my fair share of listening to the Galaktikon II soundtrack and re-watching relevant episodes (and all of them in general) as I came up with Dethkomic's prophecy plot that, I was pretty sure, would end up tying into the finale. Brendon certainly did give us a lot of hints over the years, and although I admit I got a few things wrong (or they got changed due to production limitations when it came to AotD) -- none of it was really very far off. The puzzle pieces were pretty much right there in front of us, and I personally, didn't feel there were a lot of surprises in the movie when it came to what's been speculated on.

That said, there's a lot more open space in the deep-lore since we got a feature instead of a multi-episode season (definitely not a complaint - I love filling in my own blanks). So I'll have fun messing with a lot of those open ends, too.

One nice thing about Baen-Shee and indeed, the whole point of them being in this story in the first place, is that I get to work with cast members who are a lot more on-the-ball than Dethklok when it comes to this otherworldly shit. In the final updates, my intention was for readers to get behind the eyes of each of my girls as they come to the realization of what their place in the Metalocalypse truly is. I hope it does nicely to cast off feelings that the third installment of Dethkomic is somehow not going to line-up with the movie, because it absolutely will. :)

Winter Wonderklok 2023! Day 8: Secret Santa With Another Character!

Okay, let me explain... FIRST, you should go read this (grown-ups only... and if you're not a grown-up, what the hell are you doing following me on Tumblr???):

THEN, the comic up there with Caj and @sparklecinnamonbunny's Sunday Mourning is gonna make way more sense. :) Also, you should know I cheated because this is hardly a "secret" santa gift in retaliation for such a lovely piece of fiction Sparks has bestowed me with... it's more-or-less a collab comic we both dreamed up while passing around the braincell.

Just curious, are Nita and Caj and Cherry the only of the Baen Shee members who get shipped with people? Or are Sparkles and Murderface supposed to be interpretted romantically? And does Eden have anyone?

Nita and Caj have each other, Cherry is in denial about her feelings for Pickles (and anybody probably), and Eden is asexual at this point in her life for all I can tell. That said, if anyone is out there reading into the Sparkleface thing as bumpin' uglies on the regular, I'm in full support.

Happy New Year, all! I'm gonna kick off my Tumblr 2023 with another big piece of art, having finally finished this epic thing. :D The story for this one goes: Back when Galaktikon 2 dropped and we figured that's all we'd be getting for a Metalocalypse ending, a friend of mine came up with the idea that "The Agenda" was about not just Murderface's descent into Salacia's control... but his infection of the whole band (except Nathan in this case). In more recent listens, I'm not sure what to make of the song in question, and it looks like this is the year we'll finally be getting answers to all of our pressing MTL questions, anyway... but this idea was still great fun to explore as a setup to have an epic battle of the bands... literally!

...and a possible storyline for Dethkomic 3? =)

That Todd and Nathan art is fucking precious! 😂 But it's got me thinking, how does Todd feel about the whole Charles x Ceelie x Caj x Nita relationship? Does he approve of his babygirl's choice(s) of spouse?

Todd LOVES everything Nita does. If it makes her happy, he's obsessed. Look no further than how he treats her heraldic Chosen One. He also LOVES his wife, and being married, and the whole concept of marriage in general. Therefore, the math in his head is that the more spouses, the more happy, and he'd be quite fond of the whole thing, I imagine. :3

Twice now, I've had people refer to Charles' gloves on the Dethkomic 2 cover as "slutty" or "kinky" and I want y'all to know I'm here for it.
