1. The Handmaiden (2016)... where to begin... the library scene makes me lose my mind every fucking time i see it its genuinely the most romantic thing i’ve ever seen
2. Spiderman into the spiderverse. y’all the scene where miles jumps off the building for the first time? poetic cinema. I cannot rave abt it more its one of the most gorgeous movies i’ve seen
3. Akira! My friend introduced me to the movie/manga and i really love it. it’s a must see imo if you haven’t already! The art, the story, the score... all amazing
4. The Farewell. It just recently came out and it’s so sweet and touching i started crying in the theater no joke!
5. Pan’s Labyrinth. I was really hesitant to watch it at first bc I saw the animatronics and I was like ??? but I absolutely loved it, stories about little girls and magic without fail manage to tug at my heartstrings. plus it’s gorgeous!
