My fourth (and final) art fight piece of the year! This is a revenge against @cliban, @cavellthecruel, and OpossumBum on artfight. Dette and Toast in the foreground belong to CliBan, Hexus in the background (left painting) belongs to Cavell, and Thraxx (middle painting) belongs to Opossum!

This took me about a week, and a fair amount of struggle haha, but I finished it and got over 200 points! I'm quite happy with the end product, even if there are parts I wish I knew how to do better. Like fire and metal. But overall not a bad final artfight piece : ) Tho I'll once again have a few revenges to do to start off next year, even if they won't count as revenges at that point.

The Sapphorce is popular today! Love you too Luna <3

So Dette. Dette is my favourite gal in the Sapphorce solely because I've done the most work on her. She's also the most aesthetically pleasing design of the Sapphorce that's not Monday (who is literally just shapes)

A biiiig theme in the Sapphorce is romance and relationships, and Dette is a massive foil to Barley's major obstacle (A lady who is trying to use Barley's infatuation with her to get Toast)

Dette has a major personality trait of dating a lot of people, she likes sleeping around, and that's cool of her! But it also intimidates Barley away from her a little bit (sad face) and into the arms of someone who is somewhat nefarious.

And what I'd see in a lot of popular media is that the resolution would be Dette settling down into a closed polycule/monogamous relationship which doesn't sit right with me; so the direction I want to take is more Barley learning more about relationships and sex positivity because she's young and ace and as a cadet you don't have a lot of time to have relationships (when you're as dedicated as her I guess). Who said the Sapphorce isn't educational??

(but I genuinely do want to put a little of my gender feeling and experience of being a lesbian into it. I have a complicated relationship with sexuality in regards to gender and asexuality that goes somewhat like: I'm aromantic gray-asexual. On the flux days I feel attraction, I ID as lesbian, bi, or mlm depending on how my attraction fluctuates and depending on my gender feelings at the time. Complex, right? I want to share a little of that for people to read and at least think about)
