If, as we all suspect, Satine became pregnant at the end of the year on the run, and therefore asked Obi-Wan to stay with her, what kind of father do you think he would have been?
Hmmm...I would imagine he would be extremely nervous when Satine tells him. Like seconds away from a panic attack, trying to save face because she's super scared and maybe not exactly excited but wanting the child all the same.
Nervous and very unsure of himself throughout her pregnancy. Overwhelmed and super emotional when Korkie is born (and probably holds Korkie all night and is one of those parents that doesn't want to put his little son down). Nervous when Korkie was a baby, thinks he's a horrible father but he is always the first one up when Korkie is crying and what not.
When Korkie is a young child, Obi-Wan tries to shield his son from criticism for being the son of a Jedi or just being overprotective. It's sometimes is overbearing, especially trying to protect him from pazzi or politicians or those who could hurt him.
I imagine it gets tense between them when Korkie is older or between Korkie and Satine and Obi-Wan because Korkie is powerful in the Force but they haven't really done much beyond basic forms, history, and a training saber. Obi-Wan wants to train him but he's scared Korkie will become more of a target or want to leave for the Order. I imagine it's a difficult decision to include Obi-Wan's Jedi friends in Korkie's upbringing, but his friends probably make the choice for him. He has SO many Jedi aunts and uncles.
Korkie knows his father is nervous about always messing up, and the biggest argument that happens is actually about how Korkie wants his father to stop being so protective and let him go out without ten guards. Satine is actually more practical, knowing that their son will have to know self-defense so he is trained young by different warriors.
I think Obi-Wan usually sees the negative sides of himself about being a father, but I imagine he and Satine are very much co-parents. Like, Satine has SO many holos and videos of Obi-Wan teaching Korkie to read, to cook, to meditate, helping with homework, etc.
I imagine the war still happens, maybe Anakin still comes into their lives probably through Padmé, since Satine and her are friends. I could go on and on, but basically: Obi-Wan is a great dad that wants the best for his son, but he tends to second guess himself all the time and very overprotective.
