protobuf. that’s the post
I'm going to pretend I'm dusting off this blog so I can talk about my fun cool graphic design courses, and get ready to start working on coding projects on my sideblog. But no, I just started re-reading Tamora Pierce books with my partner, fell into a tumblr rabbit hole, and needed to queue like 50 posts. (But also I'm gonna start posting my graphic design projects here, because even though I'm not great at art yet I'm seeing progress, and that's exciting, and I want to be in the habit of sharing art I'm not proud of. You know how it goes.)
Thank you to all those who joined us tonight, some video of the races are on the page. Here is the last race of the night. I still have no idea how Alexia (Djbombchuu) manages to drive over bananas and not lose any momentum. I will find out one day. - Devon Nicholson Races:Â

There's the interview in question.
T-minus 5 days.
Read a fascinating interview on the WSJ of lead dev Jay Wilson and lead artist Christian Lichtner.
On the WSJ. That's the Wall Street Journal. Interviews with Diabo 3's devs. On the Wall Street Journal. That's how big this game is, with less than a week to go.
I don't really know where my fascination with D3 came from. Or maybe fanaticism is a better word. I've watched and read more dev interviews with Jay and other members of his team than I have for...pretty much every other game ever. Combined. I find Jay Wilson to be a very charismatic person, in an understated way. He seems to have, for lack of a better term, a very even keel. And it's obvious he and his whole team love this game. There are quotes from them admitting to playing with strangers in the open beta just for fun. Jay admitted his playtime for D3 was over 1000 hours. That's a lot.
Anyway..the interview on WSJ. Great stuff. Talked a lot about class concept. Why classes are the way they are, and it really points out how awesome each of the classes is. I want to play them all, right from the start. Still not sure if my opening night class will be the monk or the barbarian. Or the witch doctor.
At least the wizard has been ruled out. ...maybe.
