“Don’t I know you from somewhere?” Anastasia looked up from where she was seated, squinting slightly at the person in her line of vision. “Or are you just some sort of celebrity I’ve seen tangentially?”

“Oh dear, it seems you’ve hurt yourself a bit in there.” She doesn’t need her advanced medical scanner to know this, since the damage on her very eyes had been very apparent, though hopefully not serious, leaning down she sees in to her purse for some disinfectant.
“Are you prone to getting these incidents?”
it didn’t matter what the circumstances, or how the world changed around him, nathan was still unapologetically himself. which meant when he found a bag that someone had obviously dropped by accident on the sidewalk, the responsible choice of trying to find the owner or anything of the sort was the last thought on his mind. instead, he excitedly unzipped every pocket, rifling through it’s contents in search of anything he deemed interesting. “book, book, book,” he listed, tossing objects to the ground dismissively as he went along, “jesus christ, they don’t have any money in here? or a phone, or even a pack of cigarettes? whoever’s this was, they’re obviously a loser.” with a defeated sigh, he looked up from the bag to realize someone was staring at him, “what? did you want a piece of gum? that’s about the best they’ve got in here.”

it’s empty. it’s WHITE. carol knows exactly how she got here, FIGHTING the system. noticing the glitches, the confusion, the battle for control in her own head. she remembers the skrulls’ probe into her memories, the constant tampering of her hybrid mind for something. she remembers, she’s done this before. she won’t let it happen, again.
DARKNESS.
a cold, impeccable white room, she’s standing in. she doesn’t waste a breath, INSTINCT says to curl her fists and throw FISTS at some invisible enemy she can’t see, but then darkness feels the void, and swallows her whole. she’s falling. she’s falling and she’s screaming. overpowered by fear. she’s not flying. she can’t feel the power inside her. cosmic or will. and she doesn’t have a back up. she’ll die. all alone and powerless to save herself.
she’ll die out here.
LIGHT. she comes to in a completely different place. catching her breath, she swore she was dead. it’s a a new world, some place on a post card from blue creek, california? what ? carol’s not sure where to begin, but towns people start gravitating towards her, as if they’re caught in her pull.she’s DISTRUSTFUL of them, but they help to get her settled in. for once, she doesn’t question it. she’ll save her questions for later. once she escapes the group, she gets out in the middle of another crowd. as she walks, her uniform materializes into the last outfit she remembers beside monica rambeau: white tee, blue jeans, and a killer leather jacket. she had to blend in. she paused. “alright. let’s try this again...” carol voiced, serious. “what year is it ? what planet is this ? where’s fury ? who are you ? and where the HELL is my flerken cat ?”
jessica’s vision was slightly blurred. she was unfocused as she walked slowly down the sidewalk. an unfamiliar feeling filled her, making her feel dizzy. it was an odd sensation that almost felt like dehydration. she kept her gaze on her feet, which helped her focus. scattered streetlights aided her in seeing what was on the ground in front of her. though this distraction didn't help her to see if anything was approaching in her path. this leads her to run headlong into something. she was knocked down by the impact while a quiet curse left her mouth. " ugh, I'm sorry for that. " she said with her eyes still looking down as she stood up. she took a second to wipe any dust off her pants.
“I can tell the class have brought your attention, how could it not? I can certainly offer ya to visit the place where I give ‘em on the city, or Blue Creek’s university, though... of course if you want some private classes I wouldn’t be against it.” The class was displayed in the middle of the park so it was clearly very easy to be spotted on, this only served him as a excuse to approach someone to get some healthy flirt on.
“Oh, these? These are pictures of disappeared people in a small village of England from 1991 to 2000, as you may notice most of these are kids from 4 to 10 years. I suspect the boogie man to be behind these…” She told with conviction, her eyes were so serious on this matter there was no way she would have been joking about it. The pictures scattered around the coffee table had several pictures of lost children.
