Making myself a website!
New Website
And a possible podcast?
I’m entertaining the idea of developing a podcast about game design. Not that I have many thoughts to share. But I hope to convince some awesome people to chat with me about it. What better way to learn than to surround yourself with incredible talent?
The Last Few Months
Spent the last few months sort of starting a new thing for myself. I’m calling it devDabblr.
I’m still tip toeing into development on lots of scales. This year I decided I’d try to make a mobile app every month. I’ve made three.
I’ve also been trying to do quick vector character sketches for fun in the meantime.
Website mockup! We’ll see if I can pull it off. Photoshop came way more natural to me than code ever has.
February Update
The Website:
Slow. Basically looking at all my frequently travelled websites trying to find elements and bits of knowledge to steal.
The App:
Decided to go for an app instead of a game. Progress is awesome. Learning a whole heck of a lot about the Unity UI.
What to watch:
This video was awesome. You should check it out. A strict canvas gives your stuff purpose and a set of rules to follow. This is ideal for any creative project. Check it out if you haven’t already:
Closing:
I’m going to find my four little design principles and try my best to apply them to this app I’m working on! Wish me luck!
