ok so bc @oftwentyeight​ asked for it, here’s a non-comprehensive list of my favorite francis barton headcanons:

francis has absolutely gotten jealous of bucky after seeing him kiss natasha

francis calls natasha ‘asha’ bc he’s small and natasha is hard to say

francis would absolutely be kind of afraid of superman and the green lanterns at first, if he ever met them

chuck and lucky follow francis everywhere, and they definitely clean up after him when he drops food

also chuck and lucky literally never leave him alone, they are his guardian angels and they’d fuck a bitch up for hurting their kiddo

quick hcs about the serum:

frequent, sometimes utterly debilitating headaches. she will not complain about them, but if it gets to the point where she can’t function anymore, you should not be surprised to find her laying face down on the nearest flat surface with all of the lights turned off.

the serum was....debilitatingly painful for the first few days/weeks. and not just from the perspective of sudden growth (though there was that aspect, and for a good long while too), but also she goes from being super farsighted to being able to see in high definition?? colors look ridiculously brighter, everything is awfully easy to see? it was near constant overstimulation for a good chunk of time post-serum.

she spent like. fifteen years in the spy/superhero business prior to becoming a super soldier, so her fighting style is very much still based off of her fighting style pre-serum, and the super speed/strength usually comes in as an afterthought.

the serum was a mixture of the super soldier serum and the infinity serum. it was not fda tested or approved. as far as i know, she’s not the only one who’s received either of those serums, but she is the only one who’s received a combination of the two, which means that no one really knows all of the potential downsides that the serum might cause. it might just cause her to drop dead one day. no one knows.

along that same vein, knowing that kind of changes her perspective on life. she’s less concerned with being right/proper/doing things the way other people want her to do them, and more concerned with leaving behind a legacy that she’d be proud of/living her best possible life and doing what she thinks is right.

the serum was not her choice. being a super soldier was something that was absolutely forced upon her. it’s probably not something she would have chosen for herself. she is conflicted about it, and the fact that marvel has never allowed bobbi to openly confront clint about how she feels (regardless of whether or not it was done to save her life, she still has a right to be both upset at the lack of consideration for what she wants, as well as happy to be alive) is honestly garbage.

post-serum, her hair always looks that good. no matter what, it always looks that good. and yes she deserves it, she’s been through a lot, and it’s not maybelline, and no she wasn’t born with it, but it just looks that damn good always.

bobbi has a king sized bed, and it’s a corner bed, bc fuck being an adult. she uses dark gray sheets because hides sweat/blood/grease stains/dog fur better than lighter colors. also she sleeps diagonally across it, no matter who’s in the bed with her, and she’s absolutely a side-sleeper.

bobbi has a tendency to get fairly rough headaches, and it’s largely due to the effects of the serum. it mostly happens when she gets overstimulated; i.e., lots of bright/flashing lights and loud noises. she sense a lot more than the average person does (and when you go from being like…almost legally blind to having more than perfect vision, i’m sure there’s gonna be some aftereffects), so sometimes it gets to her on the realest level.

when that happens, you’ll absolutely find her lying on a flat surface (when she’s at home it’s usually her bed, but when she’s at work, more often than not it’s just….the floor), in the dark with an ice pack. this has absolutely led to some poor newbie walking into bobbi’s office and finding her groaning on the floor, completely motionless, just like “i need you to stop breathing so loudly.”

 no, she’s not hungover,  she’s just in a shit ton of pain.
