Random little ask, but I've read that Zodiac Leo represents the source of life and vitality and Aries is associated with war. That naming was completely intentional, right? Zodiac symbolism can be pretty cool even if you don't believe in that stuff.
Oddly no, the astrology connections weren't intentional at first.
Leo's design was heavy based on lions and that's where his name came from, because I'm not good at naming characters. I was going to give his family lion based names as well. Aries was called "Ari" at first, because it means "lion" in Hebrew, but...I soon realized that an evil banker with a traditionally Jewish name was hella antisemitic. So I shifted it to Aries which worked out great for his aggressive personality and the fact that Leo was also an astrological sign. And it all just came together.
