Synopsis: BUDDY'S TAVERN is based on the film "Two Family House," written and directed by Raymond De Felitta. This new romantic musical is the story of an Italian-American factory worker on Staten Island in 1956. Buddy has always wanted his own business--a bar where he can sing his heart out to his customers. Family pressures, race relations, unexpected love, and the struggle to achieve one's dreams, all come alive in this New York premiere musical.

Synopsis: Set in the year 1980, much of the action in this new musical comedy takes place at “Maxie’s,” a popular jazz nightclub. Maxie, the club’s proprietor, narrates the story of a young black woman and a young white man who meet at his nightclub and whose mutual love of jazz blossoms into a clandestine romance. When the couple decide to marry, their parents unite in opposition. But they may have met their match.
