Hi there; I had another question. Do porches count with the exterior walls rule? For example, Olive Specter's house has that front porch where there's an extra 1x1 square framing the hedges, and it has those little porches off the bedrooms. Should all porches remain as they were created, too, or are they considered part of the extra outside structures?

Those would be considered extra outside structures and may be altered.

Just to clarify, as long as it's originally a residential lot, anything goes regarding whether or not it's inhabited? So, for example, if someone wanted to do submit a makeover of the Goth home or the Specter home, would that be okay?

Absolutely! Any residential home wether it is occupied, or not.
