“I wish I could say the same,” replied the other, looking distractedly around and sniffing the air. “It smells like an angel in here.”
The terror Crowley was feeling for himself shortly transferred to Aziraphale: what would Satan do if he knew Crowley was the Supreme Archangel's lover?
“He must...be...the last one I kicked...” muttered the demon lying on the carpet.
By now Crowley was almost out of breath from exertion, and he finally had to succumb to the power of the demon in front of him. Only when his forehead finally touched the floor did Satan release him from the bond of prostration.
He reached down to muss his hair, while Crowley was too busy hating himself to let himself be overcome. “Good boy.”
