they played him so dirty
Oblivious; Taegi
“He’s here again,” Taehyung told his older brother. “For like the hundredth time this month. It’s near closing time and he’s still here despite having been here since this afternoon.”
Seokjin turned at his brother’s conversation starter and made a sound of realization. “You mean Yoongi?”
Taehyung’s eyebrows scrunched up together. “He’s been here so much that you remember his name,” he said in disbelief.
Seokjin rolled his eyes, not bothering to mention that Taehyung has practically memorized the hours Yoongi shows up to the shop daily. “He’s Namjoon’s roommate,” the oldest explained. “And they live a ten minute drive away from here so Yoongi waits for Namjoon’s shift to end so they can go home together.”
Taehyung gaped for a second. “Wait, what?”
Seokjin tilted his head in amusement. “You mean you didn’t know?”
“No! I wouldn’t be complaining about him if I did,” Taehyung exclaimed, his voice turning higher.
Seokjin chuckled and ruffled his hair. “Get ready to go home, Tae. It’s closing time.”
Taehyung nodded and gave a last glance towards the grumpy looking (and handsome) man sitting in his usual table before finally walking off to the small room in the back of the shop where the employee’s resting area is at.
°•°•°•°•°
“You never knew he was Namjoonie’s roommate?” Jimin asked in disbelief the next day, taking not so secret glances at Yoongi who was once again in his usual spot, headphones in and plugged into his laptop.
“How did you not know?” asked Jungkook from next to them.
“He never brought it up!” Taehyung exclaimed.
“We had that get together at Namjoon’s apartment last time. Didn’t you see Yoongi? Namjoon even introduced him to us,” Jungkook tried to remind but Taehyung’s mind was blank.
“He got wasted before Yoongi got there,” Jimin pointed out. “Not a surprise Tae doesn’t remember him.”
“He doesn’t even remember being all over him,” Jungkook snickered, amusement clear on his facial expression.
“I was all over him?” Taehyung squeaked in shock. He cleared is throat. “I mean…I was all over him?” he asked in a deep and composed voice.
“Yeah. You left him a hickey for days. We barely managed to pull you off him,” Jungkook revealed.
“You would have probably jumped on his dick if we didn’t stop you,” Jimin added, only embarrassing Taehyung more than before.
Taehyung slammed his head against the table, a groan escaping his lips.
“Get back to work, slackers,” Seokjin scolded as he came out of the kitchen.
That was all they needed to disperse and get back to the work they were neglecting for Taehyung’s meaningless crisis.
°•°•°•°•°
“Can I get a strawberry milkshake?”
Taehyung’s face fell onto the counter from its perch on his palm, surprised at the lazy voice that spoke up during the very slow day in the ice cream shop.
“We sell milkshakes?” Taehyung asked himself drowsily, still half asleep from the nap the customer interrupted. “What the fuck? Since when?”
“Haven’t you been working here for like a year now?” Yoongi asked and Taehyung flushed, his concentration solely on Yoongi’s neck because he couldn’t stop thinking about what Jungkook said.
You left him a hickey for days.
“How do you know that? Are you stalking me?” Taehyung asked in a daze, confused and embarrassed and freaking out for no apparent reason.
Yoongi’s eyebrows raised in disbelief. “I’m friends with Seokjin. He constantly complains about his staff. Of course I know that you, his younger brother, has been working here for over a year.”
“Oh.”
They stood there staring at each other and then Yoongi handed him money, and Taehyung panicked once again. Apparently he wasn’t completely awake and was still being delusional.
“Why are you giving me money? I’m not a sugar baby! I can’t just accept your sugar daddy ways!” Taehyung exclaimed slapping Yoongi’s hand away. Yoongi frowned.
“I ordered a milkshake. It’ll be rude not to pay,” he pointed out.
Taehyung flushed again. “Oh! Okay! What flavor?”
Seokjin saved Taehyung from more embarrassment when he came up behind him and put a hand on his younger brother’s shoulder.
“I’ll take it from here, Tae. Take your lunch break.”
Taehyung nodded, turned and making a dash towards the break room. He heard the laughing of Jimin and Jungkook but he didn’t care. He desperately needed a breather. He could deal with them later.
°•°•°•°•°
“Are you coming over to my house next weekend?” Namjoon asked as he and Taehyung got ready to leave for the night. “Please tell me you’re not ditching.”
“Why would I go over?” Taehyung asked defensively. “Are you trying to set me up with your hot roommate or something because I’m telling you now that I’m not interested.”
Hoseok’s loud laugh was heard from outside the break room and Taehyung made a mental note to learn how to keep his voice down.
Namjoon chuckled. “It’s my birthday, Taehyung. We’re having a barbecue.”
Taehyung’s face reddened. “Oh.”
“Yeah, oh,” Namjoon mocked with a dimpled smile. He put on his jacket and looked ready to leave but Taehyung stopped him before he could head towards the door.
“So you aren’t gonna set me up with your hot roommate?”
Hoseok’s laugh was louder than the last.
°•°•°•°•°
“Is it to late to pussy out?” Taehyung asked Seokjin when they stood in front of Namjoon’s apartment building.
“Yes, yes it is,” Seokjin responded.
He meant to walk forward but Taehyung stopped him again with a frightened, “Wait!”
“Aren’t we early? It’s too early to be here don’t you think? Let’s go home and come back later at an appropriate time.”
Seokjin gave him an unamused expression. “We’re the last ones to arrive, now lets go.”
Seokjin didn’t let Taehyung stop him again and instead pulled his younger brother and only let go when they were trapped in the elevator. Seokjin let Taehyung press the second floor button but it didn’t make him feel better at all like it usually would have.
“You finally made it!” Jimin exclaimed when he opened the door and saw the Kim brothers. “And you didn’t run home with your tail between legs!” he said as he clung onto Taehyung who whined.
“Leave me alone, I don’t want to be embarrassed more than I already am.”
“You do it all on your own,” Jungkook said magically appearing next to him.
“You’re such a love struck idiot. Or maybe you’re just awkward. Probably both,” Hoseok added from his perch on the couch.
Taehyung glared at him. “Neither of those are correct and I didn’t ask you to insult me now did I?”
“Calm your nerves down Taehyung. Yoongi won’t be here for another hour. He’s at the club right now,” Namjoon said as he walked out of the kitchen with freshly baked hot pockets piled onto a plate.
They all gathered around the plate on the coffee table, like moths attracted to the light.
“Why is he at a club?” Taehyung asked settling on the floor with Jimin and Jungkook on either side of him, too busy stuffing their face with food to terrorize him. “Is he looking for a fuck? Because he should know that fucking strangers is not a good idea.”
Everyone in the room burst out laughing making Taehyung grumpily eat his hot pocket as he waited for them to calm down.
“Do you want to be the candidate?” Hoseok asked with tears in his eyes.
“You’d like that wouldn’t you?” Jungkook teased.
“I hate you all,” Taehyung said. “Especially you, hyung. You'r supposed to defend me, not laugh at me,” he said to Seokjin who’s squeaky laugh wouldn’t stop.
“I’m sorry Tae.” He calmed down enough to talk normally, but there was still a huge smile on his face. “It’s just that your crush on Yoongi is so obvious.”
“I don’t have a crush on him,” he said before drinking his beer.
°•°•°•°•°
An hour later, most of them are gathered around the grill on the balcony eating the barbecue to their heart’s content and everyone is drunk except for Jungkook, who is still underage, and Seokjin, who got stuck with grilling the meat.
Taehyung and Hoseok were loudly slurring BigBang’s Loser when Yoongi arrived and he shook his head with his lips pursed.
“Why’d you let him get drunk again?” Yoongi asked Seokjin as he took over the grill.
Seokjin leaned against the metal railings of the balcony and their attention was drawn to Taehyung and Hoseok who were competing over who got to rap, and Jungkook who stood a few feet away recording them.
“Where’s Namjoon and Jimin by the way,” Yoongi added before Seokjin even answered his first question.
“Namjoon and Jimin passed out so Jungkook put them to bed. And I can’t stop Taehyung from drinking. He throws a tantrum if I take the beer away from him. Either he doesn’t drink at all or he passes out and regrets it the next day,” Seokjin explained.
“What a brat,” Yoongi muttered.
Suddenly, Taehyung walked over and draped himself over Yoongi, catching him off guard.
“Did you find a good fuck?” he asked and Yoongi’s eyes widened, turning to stare at Seokjin in horror, but his hyung was laughing his windshield laugh, hands clapping like a seal.
“What is he talking about?” Yoongi asked.
“It’s not safe you know,” Taehyung slurred. “If you want to fuck, just call me up cutie. I’m clean and you’re hot and I won’t hesitate to do it.”
Yoongi’s face was hot and red and Seokjin couldn’t control his laughter and Taehyung was sucking yet another hickey on the back of his neck and Jungkook did nothing but record that too, his cackle loud and clear.
“Hyung! Get your brother off me!” Yoongi exclaimed trying to get away from the hands that were trying to undress him.
“I’m a bottom so you’ll have to fuck me. And I like it rough just so you know,” Taehyung said against Yoongi’s neck and the older boy just wanted to escape and lock himself in his room.
“Do you really want me to get him off you?” Seokjin asked with an amused smile.
“Of course! What kind of question is that?”
“Well, the thing that puts me off is the boner you have.”
Yoongi’s hands stopped trying to push off Taehyung and were now covering his erection only to realize he didn’t have one. Yoongi was now sure he resembled a tomato.
“And also, you’ve been harboring a crush on my younger brother for the past year. You think I believed that bullshit of waiting for Namjoon to get out of work? I know it was your excuse to stare at Tae for a few hours without looking suspicious.”
Yoongi’s exposure left Jungkook in tears and Seokjin smirked at the embarrassed Min Yoongi who had his crush desperately trying to convince him to fuck. But then Taehyung’s body went limp and Yoongi nearly fell from the sudden weight.
“Take him to bed Yoongi,” Seokjin demanded. “And have fun.”
The eldest in the house waved his fingers tauntingly at Yoongi who listened obediently and dragged Taehyung to his room.
°•°•°•°•°
He woke up with a headache in a room he’s never seen before and the alarming bells in Taehyung’s head wouldn’t stop ringing.
He tried getting up, but something was stopping him and when he looked down, he saw an arm wrapped around his waist.
It was Yoongi.
He could tell because the arm that was wrapped around him was pale and veiny and beautiful, just the way he remembered from all those times he spent observing the older male at the shop when he had the time.
His eyes followed the hand up to the shoulder and Taehyung was sort of disappointed to see the Yoongi was wearing a shirt. His face was buried in his pillow though and Taehyung never thought such an intimidating guy could look so soft and innocent.
His hand reached out on its own and his finger tips smoothed over his cheek until his fingers were placed gently over his pierced ear and palm flat on his soft cheek.
Taehyung laid back down in the bed to make his hand strain less and his eyes took in every feature carefully, making sure to keep in image in his head for safe keeping. Then his eyes froze at his lips.
So small and soft and the lightest shade of pink that Taehyung has ever seen on a person in his whole life.
He thought back to that time he spoke to Yoongi and was saddened that he didn’t remember how his lips looked like as they formed the words.
He remembers he looked gorgeous, handsome, intimidating with his laid back attitude, so damn good looking and now there were butterflies in Taehyung’s stomach and he couldn’t control himself.
He made a choked whining noise as he rolled around and fell on the floor with a loud thump when he moved too far back.
“What the fuck?”
Another strangled cry came from Taehyung when he realized he woke up Yoongi and the older male was now looking over the edge of the bed and down at Taehyung.
“How’d you get down there?”
Taehyung’s stomach churned at his low voice and he bit his lip.
“I don’t know.”
He frowned. “You don’t know? Were you asleep?”
“Um yeah! Sure! Let’s uh, let’s go with that.”
Taehyung sat up and looked down around the room to distract himself from Yoongi’s stare burning into the side of his face.
“Hyung should be in the living room with the rest of the guys.”
Then it dawned on Taehyung. There was alcohol He drank it. He has no memories after the fourth beer. He woke up in Yoongi’s bed. And now he curses his lightweight self.
Taehyung turned to the elder in an instant, shuffling until he was leaning on the edge of the bed with his face right in front of Yoongi’s, noses almost touching.
Yoongi didn’t back away, but he blushed, more so when he saw Taehyung visibly eyeing his neck.
“W-What are you doing?” Yoongi stuttered.
“Did I leave another hickey?” Taehyung asked before he could think and now he was the one blushing in embarrassment.
“You remember that?!”
Yoongi scrambled backwards until his back hit the wall the bed was pushed up against.
“It was true?!” Taehyung squeaked.
“You didn’t know?!”
“I thought they were fucking with me!”
They stared at each other in silent horror. They would have kept it up for hours if it weren’t for the knock on door interrupting them.
“Seokjin-hyung said to get some hangover soup before it runs out. You’re the only one missing Tae.”
It was Jungkook.
“Something wrong?” the maknae asked with an innocent smile.
“Nothing! I’m coming.” It took no time for Taehyung to jump up on his feet and scurry to the door where he pushed Jungkook over and dashed towards the small, over crowded kitchen.
Jungkook winked at Yoongi. “Nice hickey.”
°•°•°•°•°
“He left no hickey, you little shit,” Yoongi hissed to the youngest as they got their food from the kitchen.
Everyone apart from Seokjin were gathered in the living room since there was more space for them to sit and eat comfortably.
“It was a white lie that made you happy as fuck. Don’t I deserve some recognition for putting a stupid smile on your face?” Jungkook asked making Seokjin tisk.
“He’s moody because you made him believe he was blessed by Tae’s lips again,” Seokjin pointed out and Jungkook laughed knowing it was true.
“You’re fucking horrible people and I really need to find other friends,” Yoongi ranted. “Like seriously. I need friends that won’t make it obvious that I’m crushing on someone.”
“You’re crushing on someone?”
The attention went to the person standing at the door. Yoongi recognized his voice right away but it sounded sad and it did unpleasant things to Yoongi’s feelings.
“Taehyung!” Seokjin exclaimed. “Did you come for seconds?”
The youngest Kim brother shook his head and made his way to place his dirty dishes in the sink.
“Who’s your crush hyung?” he asked instead.
Yoongi looked down at his plate of food and tried thinking of something to get him out of the situation but nothing came to mind so he stuffed his mouth with food.
“Hyung?”
Yoongi felt himself start to sweat under the intense pressure of Taehyung’s attention. He could care less about Seokjin’s worried glance or Jungkook’s amused stare, all he could think of was the disappointed expression on his crush’s face.
Seokjin thankfully came to Yoongi’s rescue.
“Go get ready Taehyung. We need to go home soon. Mom’s orders.”
“Oh. Yeah, um, let me just get my shoes from Yoongi-hyung’s room then.”
Yoongi didn’t have the heart to look at him just yet so he kept staring at his food as Taehyung quickly shuffled past Yoongi in a hurried silence.
“You gotta tell him soon or he’s gonna convince himself you have someone else and give up on you,” Seokjin said causing Yoongi to look up rapidly.
“You mean he actually likes me?” Yoongi’s eyes widened slightly.
“Yeah, you oblivious fuck.” Yoongi pouted at Seokjin’s curse and slumped down against the small island they surrounded. “Now if you excuse me, I have to go and try to bribe Tae out of his oncoming misery. Figure something out for now.”
Seokjin walked out and only Yoongi and the maknae were left. Said youngster cleared his throat.
“He actually did leave a hickey. It’s on the back of your neck though.” Then he left too.
°•°•°•°•°
“You okay there buddy?”
Taehyung lazily let his gaze fall on Jungkook who had been previously cleaning the empty tables in the small parlor.
“I don’t have a chance with Yoongi-hyung. What do you think?”
“Awe!” Jungkook cooed. “Is TaeTae having relationship problems? Well worry not! I’m here to help!”
Taehyung smacked away the hands that had been pinching mercilessly at his cheeks and he rubbed them to soothe the pain caused by the muscle pig maknae.
“I’m still your hyung, you damned idiot. Treat me like it.”
Jungkook ignored him as he made his way behind the counter and took his place next to Taehyung.
“What relationship advise can you give me anyways? You’re a fetus who can barely make eye contact with girls,” Taehyung teased.
Jungkook’s face flushed pink. “They’re scary! It’s like if they’re reading into your soul and will tell you all your past sins and shit,” the maknae defended. “Jesus’ mother is more powerful, for Christ’s sake! That has to mean something!”
Taehyung laughed at his distressed state and Jungkook didn’t even call him out on it because Taehyung had been depressed after discovering Yoongi’s heart was taken. A whole damn two weeks of Taehyung switching shifts and positions just to avoid Yoongi who still visits the parlor on a daily basis.
“Anyways, have you talked to Yoongi apart from that one time you made a fool of yourself when he asked for a milkshake?”
Taehyung buried his face in his arms and let out a loud groan.
“So that’s a no? Wow, you’re so lame.”
“Hyung!”
Jungkook flinched at Taehyung’s sudden screech and the few customers in the shop turned to look at the two employees next to the cash register that looked like they were doing anything but working.
Jungkook frowned in confusion and started looking around frantically for whoever it was Tae was calling.
“Seokjin-hyung! Jungkook is slacking off!”
Immediately, Jungkook reached for the discarded rag he had been using just in time because Seokjin walked out from the back room.
“Who’s slacking off?”
Taehyung grinned and pointed at Jungkook who was scrubbing furiously at the already clean counter.
While he got scolded silently for not taking his job seriously, Jungkook plotted the end of Taehyung’s sanity.
°•°•°•°•°
“Min Yoongi! Just the person I wanted to see!”
“Jeon Jungkook. Just the brat I wanted to erase from my life!”
Jungkook’s smile turned into a frown at Yoongi’s ecstatic words, his outstretched arms falling limp as Yoongi dodged him and sat at his usual table where he got a perfect view of Taehyung.
If he were working on the register. Which he was not. Again.
Yoongi cursed, both directed at the fact that now he couldn’t see the boy he’s been wanting to see for the past two weeks and because Jungkook plopped down on the chair in front of him.
“You don’t have to treat me so rudely, you know,” Jungkook pouted.
“Aren’t you on the job? Won’t Seokjin give you a lesson of a life time if he finds you slacking?”
Jungkook grinned victoriously. “I can’t get in trouble because my shift ended ten minutes ago!”
“Then why the fuck are you still here.”
“To see you of course! My most favorite hyung in the entire world!”
Yoongi was getting tired of this split personality disorder Jungkook was going through, his mood was too cheery and out of the normal and got plain annoying after just five seconds of dealing with it.
“What would hyung say if he heard you?” Yoongi raised an eye brow. That made Jungkook’s fake smile drop into a tight line and he clicked his tongue.
“I can’t be nice to you or else I get threatened. That’s fu-”
“That better not be a curse word coming out of your mouth!” Seokjin called from his position at the cash register.
Not the Kim brother he wanted and it still poured rain on his Taehyung parade when he remembered.
“It wasn’t!” Jungkook called back with his innocent bunny smile. Seokjin gave him a smile too and went back to doing whatever he was doing.
“You like Taehyung.”
The eldest of the two rolled his eyes at the question. “We’ve established that before, yes.”
“And he likes you too,” Jungkook added.
“Apparently,” Yoongi hummed.
“So you just need to get past the awkward puppy love stage and straight into the confident horny rabbit stage.”
Yoongi kept his face impassive, years of training paying off, but no self restrain could hide the blush creeping up on his cheeks.
“So let me just get this straight.” Yoongi cleared his throat and clasped his hands together over the table, quickly thinking up his next words.
“You,” he pointed at Jungkook with his right hand, “the tween virgin who can barely hold two second eye contact with the opposite sex, is trying to be a match maker?”
“Females are scary! How many times do I have to repeat myself?!” Jungkook snapped.
Yoongi nodded in agreement after giving it some thought. Females were scary.
“Do you want my help or not?” Jungkook asked.
He thought about it for a minute, opened his mouth, but then another voice beat him to it.
“Jeon Jungkook, what do you think you’re doing?”
It was Taehyung.
°•°•°•°•°
He didn’t hear the whole conversation, just the part where he was going to set up Yoongi with someone and it honestly hurt him.
Jungkook was supposed to be his friend, yet he was trying to ruin the last bit of chance he had with Yoongi. Although Taehyung admits that he wasn’t making things better with all the avoiding but at this point he was just looking for an excuse to blame Jungkook for his shattered love life, even if the kid had no part in it.
Blaming things on Jungkook made him feel better. It was his oping mechanism. Nobody could stop him.
Jungkook shot up from the chair and turned to Taehyung with wide open arms and his signature bunny smile.
“Taehyung! My favorite hyung in the entire world! Just the person I wanted to see!”
“Oh really?” Taehyung crossed his arms and hummed. “Go on.”
Jungkook looked off into the background, probably at Seokjin since his eyes were pleading for help, and just as expected Seokjin came to the rescue.
“Jungkook, you didn’t clean the restroom like you were supposed to. Thank goodness you’re still here.”
Taehyung smirked at the maknae’s scowl as he walked towards the counter, leaving Taehyung and Yoongi alone.
“Hello hyung. You need me to keep you company while you wait for Namjoonie-hyung’s shift to end? It’s only an hour,” Taehyung offered with a light blush coating his golden cheeks and Yoongi grinned at the thought of his Taehyung based hunger ending.
“I don’t mind.”
°•°•°•°•°
“I got them talking,” Jungkook muttered. “And Tae’s not tripping over his words like an idiot this time.”
Seokjin smiled at that and shoved a brand new set of plastic gloves at Jungkook.
“The brush and soap are in the cabinet under the sink. Have fun, brat.”
“You’re actually making me work?!” Jungkook exclaimed silently in shock.
“Did you think I was kidding?” Jin questioned with a raised brow.
“I thought you said that to get me away from there.”
“Tough luck, Kookie. I meant what I said. Now bye bye.” Seokjin waved tauntingly at a grumpy Jungkook as the youngest made his way to the bathroom, mentally cursing off his hyung because let’s face it; he’ll never have the guts to do it to his face because if there was anyone scarier than a female, it was Seokjin.
°•°•°•°•°
“Happy birthday Yoongi!”
“Oh, um…thanks.”
Yoongi took the present mindlessly from Jimin’s hands making him pout. He walked over to Namjoon and Hoseok who he knew would give him the attention he was craving.
“He doesn’t even care that I brought him a present that isn’t a scratch ticket this time,” Jimin complained as they observed Yoongi from the balcony.
He kept glancing at the front door repeatedly every five seconds and they didn’t know if to be worried or not.
“I doubt you bought him something expensive though,” Hoseok said making Jimin gasp and smack his chest in offense.
Hoseok huffed at the wind that was blown out of him. He made a note to not provoke the smaller boy because he went to the gym with Jungkook and that just proved he wasn’t weak at all.
“I bought him some of his favorite snacks too,” Jimin added as if it would improve the judgments on his present.
“Which came from the corner store right?” Namjoon teased.
Jimin huffed and rolled his eyes, crossing his arms in order to keep them off of Namjoon.
“Why doesn’t he get hit!” Hoseok exclaimed.
“Because his dimples man. They brainwashed me,” Jimin shrugged.
“That’s fucking favoritism,” Hoseok grumbled.
“What do you think he’s waiting for?” Namjoon changed topics before an argument could take place.
“Isn’t it obvious?”
The two older males of the three standing together turned towards the younger one who was standing in the middle. Jimin sighed at the reaction he got.
“Who isn’t here yet?” he asked instead of giving them a clear answer.
“Jungkookie,” Hoseok said.
“And Seokjin-hyung,” Namjoon said.
“And you’re both idiots.” Jimin gave them a smile and Hoseok gasped dramatically while Namjoon just pouted slightly.
“Taehyung, Yoongi’s boyfriend, isn’t here yet. He’s probably waiting for him to show up,” was the information Jimin provided.
The 94 liners awed in acknowledgement and nodded. The front door opened and all the attention turned to the person who walked through it.
Seokjin walked in and Yoongi’s once bright face dulled almost immediately.
“Oh. It’s you. Do you know where Taehyung is?”
“Yoongi!” Seokjin gasped dramatically. “Why would you act such a way towards me? After all we’ve been through? Those 10% off milkshakes meant nothing to you? Those movie nights you used as a cover to pry Taehyung’s information off me? Those-”
“Okay hyung!” Yoongi laughed nervously. “No need to expose me like that. I’m sorry.”
Seokjin smiled in content. “That’s better. And for your information, Taehyung is running late because Jungkook is holding him back. Last minute shopping.”
Yoongi nodded and decided to sit down on the sofa instead of standing by the front door like an idiot.
“So how are things going with you and Taehyung?” Hoseok questioned when he plopped himself next to Yoongi on the sofa.
“Good. Good. We’re still on the first base of vanilla.”
Seokjin snorted. “Oh please. Taehyung sleeps in boxers Yoongi. I see the hickeys on his thighs every morning during breakfast.”
Yoongi blushed and sunk into the cushion in an attempt to hide from the peering eyes of his friends.
“I swear that’s all we did!” Yoongi’s voice cracked.
“Oh shit, you leave hickeys on his thighs?”
Yoongi stared at Seokjin in horror and the older man just burst out laughing along with the other three occupants in the room.
“You mean you were lying to me?!” Yoongi accused.
“Of course! Taehyung has plenty of matching pajama sets. He never shows skin at home because he feels bad for the pajamas when they get separated.”
Yoongi swore he could die of embarrassment. He was thankful when he got a text message from Jungkook saying to wait by the door.
He left his friends on the sofa and waited outside the apartment door, and when the elevator door opened at the end of the hall, he saw Jungkook holding onto Taehyung’s arm.
That wasn’t strange at all, no. What was strange was that there was a huge red bow stuck to Taehyung’s hair and he was clumsily wrapped in red ribbon, an ugly knot pressing against his stomach.
“What the fuck Jeon Jungkook?” Yoongi asked.
“Happy birthday hyung! Here’s your present!”
Yoongi squeezed the bridge of his nose and sighed deeply but nodded, taking Taehyung’s hand and dragged him inside.
°•°•°•°•°
“I think I’m the new February god,” Jungkook cockily mentioned when he walked over to the rest of the guys siting in the living room.
They turned and saw Taehyung blabbering off about something, Yoongi nodding along and adding his own comments every now and then as he tried cutting off the cheap plastic ribbon that Jungkook wrapped his younger boyfriend in.
“Why are you to credit?” Jimin asked in disbelief.
“I made them talk. Remember hyung? You made me clean toilets that day and they talked for like an hour.”
Seokjin snorted. “You don’t deserve the title of the valentine god. They would have talked with or without your help. It was just a matter of time.”
Jungkook scoffed. “You guys are just salty that I’m better than you guys. Jeon Jungkook who? It’s all about Jeon Cupid now.”
He leaned back against the couch where he squeezed himself in between Jimin and Hoseok, a cocky smile on his face and his leg crossed over the other.
“I heard Americans say this to their friends when they say stupid shit,” Namjoon spoke up and the attention went to him. “Jungkook, kill yourself.”
There was an offensive squeak and then a muscled maknae was attacking the brain of the group.
Apparently Jungkook attacking Namjoon was so entertaining they missed Taehyung pressed up against the kitchen island making out with Yoongi.
They didn’t want to see that anyways. The battle of brains over brawn was far more entertaining than two guys making out.
