I think part of why Dandadan’s writing is so good is because it’s not JUST action.
I don’t want to diss action shows, I’m a DBZ fan after all that would be laughable, but it feels really good that the action is only a small fraction of why this show is so good. There’s not that much focus on the fighting, training, or trying to get strong. Nor does the action feel slapped on or less important either
Ultimately, Dandadan is a series about its characters and their personalities, as well as the comedic aspects in between. Their interactions and dynamics are much more important than any fight and I think that makes it extremely fun between action scenes.
You’re not just waiting for the characters to stop talking so you can see the next special move or fight or whatever. You’re here FOR that. For the relationship drama, and characters becoming friends with people they didn’t get along with, and all that jazz
Again, not dissing more action oriented shown. Especially in shonen, the fights are kind of the whole point. After all, I’m still watching for the next episode of Kaiju No. 8. Or for whatever is next on the line for the Dragon Ball IP. This isn’t an attempt to put down other animes. But a way for me to put into words what I like about Dandadan
Transmisognist in the anti isff tag. Block and report, we will not entertain bigotry. And once again, the moment you’re a bigot you show that your criticism is not coming from a genuine place
Y’all need to understand that not being transphobic/ableist/racist/misogynistic/fatphobic/etc etc towards shitty people isn’t to defend them and someone saying “Hey this thing you said about this person is really shitty to minorities” is also not defending the shitty person. Y’all’s morals should NOT be this conditional, especially when the person in question is never gonna see it but the minorities your insulting will. And getting defensive just makes it clear you’re not interested in being better or respecting the people you’re throwing under the bus or having a constructive dialogue
Hi, I saw you post a well articulated criticism of Mildly Controversial Yet Popular Adult Cartoon and I just want to say, as a certified Minority and Leftist, I actually LIKE the show. And, because of that, it makes your criticism of how it handles certain topics totally moot. It makes me, personally, very insecure about liking the show when I see other people not enjoy it and have thoughtful complaints. So, you need to change your opinion on it right now because, again, I am a certified Minority and Leftist that likes the show. So please apologize for not personally being into it and having valid criticisms.
Also that last reblog reminded me of this one anon REALLY mad that I was still marked as green despite criticizing ISFF. Because apparently criticizing a racist white woman that loves defending abuse is the worst thing you can possibly do as long as she just so happens to be transfem
Making another post because there are so many disingenuous people in the tags. This is what Hbomber said, the screenshot Patricia Taxxon herself chose to repost and said with her full chest was about her. He did not call her a pedo, he did not name drop her, he even deleted this within ten minutes of posting it. This all could have been avoided if she didn’t point at this and say “He’s talking about me BTW”

Ash…certainly has a range of tastes.
I’m going to have fun bullying my own self insert (and by extension myself) for having a thing for a literal piece of paper (the mean British lady is more understandable-)
