“This is the last time I let you pay for dinner, seriously.” Michael laughs as Jack plucks the receipt from his fingers for the fourth date in a row, a soft smile pulling at his lips.

“Well, then it’ll have to be the last time I love you so much, because I’d only ever do this for people I love.” He says calmly, either not noticing or pretending not to notice Michael’s jaw falling open.
